Cervo Statue Viewpoint - Vila Nova de Cerveira loop

A day out in Portugal, the Church of Saint Cyprian loop from the beautiful town of Vila Nova de Cerveira is an intermediate hike of 10km, desnivel 350m, walking time 3 hours + stops. In the end a fine day is likely, but it would be wise to wear warm clothing suitable for hiking and bring something waterproof. Bring snacks and plenty of water, bastones optional; there is a bit of a climb.

Meet at the railway station at Vila Nova de Cerveira at 11:00am. It should be easy to park there on a Sunday. If you need a lift from Vigo please say so when you sign up; some of us have cars and can take people by arrangement (5€ toward fuel to the driver). I can offer a lift from Guixar station at 10:00am, maximum 4 places.

Important: If you sign up and change your mind, please cancel no later than 24 hours beforehand - late sign-ups and cancellations can complicate things! We won't wait for no-shows, but I will make my phone number available to participants nearer the time for urgent messages (late, lost etc.)

Please note: Times given are Spanish times; the time on arrival in Portugal will be 10:00am, not 11:00am! (This is how I travel at the speed of light, but returning will be a little slower, and may involve a cañita!)
