6.6-mile Brushy Creek Regional Trail Evening Hike @ Cedar Park [🔦 Recommended!]
**IMPORTANT:** Due to construction at our previous meeting location which closed down the parking lot we've temporarily moved the starting location to **Brushy Creek Lake Park**. The relevant information has been updated to reflect this.
Join us for our **recurring** scenic **6.6-mile (10.6-km)** evening at the Brushy Creek Regional Trail in Cedar Park!
We’ll take a relaxed pace through one of the city’s most beautiful trails. The hike should take about **2 hours**.
**ℹ️ Additional info**
The purpose of this specific event is to have a recurring way for us to meet relatively easily. I want to make sure that recurring events are a "low effort" commitment, ie you don't have to drive 2 hours to get there. In the future once we have more organizers I plan to have more recurring events scheduled so we can cover a larger area.
Also, you may have noticed that **this event has an RSVP limit**. This is done for multiple reasons. Not only to ensure that a large group is not disruptive to the rest of the Austin community on the trail, but also to allow us to prioritize the "meetup" experience for every attendee, as having +60 people may be overwhelming, and ultimately the goal of this group is to build a community, not just a collection of individuals that like a specific trail.
**📍 Where to Meet**
2310 Brushy Creek Rd, Cedar Park, TX 78613
Google Maps **exact meeting spot link**:
https://maps.app.goo.gl/yAzHpoVQdXXAG3XD8
Route on **AllTrails**:
[Will be added in the future]
**🅿️ Parking**
Parking is available directly at the parking lot close to where we'll meet. There will be enough space for everyone.
**ℹ️ Recommendations**
* Bring good shoes (Although the terrain isn't challenging and relatively flat)
* Pack some water (More than you need, just in case)
* Bring a friend! (That's my attempt at a shameless self-promo for the group. Although even if you don't, I am confident that you'll get along great with the people you'll meet at the event!)
* A flashlight! Your phone is better than nothing, but a dedicated flashlight would only be of benefit of you as the sun sets!
**👍 Good to know**
* 🐶 Dog-friendly
* 👨👩👧 Family-friendly
* ♿ Wheelchair accessible
**Event Etiquette (Important!)**
* If you RSVP'd, but are unable to make it, please update your attendance as soon as possible. The attendance limit prevents new people from joining if we're at capacity otherwise. If we notice a pattern of you RSVPing to events and not showing up, you will be kicked from this group.
* Please show up on time. We will start right at the indicated event time. This is to respect everyones time. If you're a few minutes late, it should not be an issue as the "intro" to the event may take 15 minutes or so, but we will not delay the start until you get there.
* Other than that, I know all of you will help me make this group great for everyone. So thanks in advance for that!
**Event itinerary**
Below is the general outline of how the events are going to function
* Updates since last event
* Official introductions of everyone
* Icebreaker question
* The event itself
* After event:
* (As needed) Updates for next event(s)
* Exchange goodbyes
**🙂 I want your feedback!**
I am working on making this description as informative as possible, if anything is missing, you have any recommendations or there are errors/mistakes, please reach out to me, thanks!

Run/Walk WB - We meet at 6:30 and start running/walking at 6:40 sharp!!
**Come join our group of fun and fabulous friends!**
**Please note that is a dog friendly event!** We meet and socialize outside on the Whitestone Brewery patio which is completely open to our four-legged friends.
If you are looking to make new friends, you have come to the right place. And we offer an opportunity to get in some exercise. The exercise is a bonus and OPTIONAL! We want you to come hang out more than anything. Too cold or too hot or too whatever might keep you from exercising, but please just show up and honor us with your presence. And Whitestone Brewery has offered us Happy Hour pricing for this event!
We will meet at 6:30 pm on the patio of Whitestone Brewery to **start our Run/Walk at 6:40 pm**. Please come prepared if you are going to run or walk. It is always important to be hydrated. If you are new to the event, I will make sure you have a "veteran" to run/walk with on the course.

Evening Stroll at Lakeline Park
**Easy Walk • Fresh Air • Real Connection in Cedar Park**
**Looking for a simple way to unwind, get outside, and meet new people in Cedar Park?**
**Join us for a relaxed evening walking meetup at Lakeline Park, one of Cedar Park’s hidden gems featuring scenic trails, open green space, and peaceful water views. Whether you’re new to the area or just looking to connect with others, this is an easy, welcoming way to get out of the house and into good company.**
**This isn’t a power walk or a fitness challenge, it’s about movement, conversation, and connection. We’ll keep a relaxed, easy pace that works for all fitness levels, with plenty of space for casual conversations along the trail. The vibe is low-pressure and social, making it easy to meet new people whether you come solo or with a friend.**
**These walking events are part of a growing effort to create consistent, low-pressure social meetups around Austin and Cedar Park, simple ways to show up, get outside, and build real connections.**
**Park in the lot nearest the Kayak rental and we will meet at the launch to start the 2.5 mile loop.**
**RSVP Reminder: If you RSVP, please do your best to attend or update your RSVP. Smaller events like this work best when everyone who signs up shows up.**
**….. ……. ….. ……**
**Hi I’m Heather, your friendly neighborhood walking organizer person thingie. I’m new to Texas and enjoying everything this area has to offer, especially the interesting people! I’m easily distracted by beautiful and interesting things and people so I will stop and take photos along the way. I often forget what I’m saying mid conversation. Think absent-minded professor but shorter and with longer hair. But I am determined/stubborn and will walk if I am at all capable of doing so because I know how quickly that privilege can change! Please come move with me and enjoy the benefits of living in such a beautiful place!**
*********please remind me to take a group photo before we begin walking and always feel free to join up after the walk. I can’t always join, but don’t let me stop the conversations!*********

Full Lifecycle AI Software Teams Meetup
Register Here - https://luma.com/closedloop.ai
The Full Lifecycle AI Software Teams Meetup is a monthly gathering for engineers, product managers, designers, QA, technical leaders, and founders building AI-first software teams.
This meetup focuses on the practical realities of agentic software delivery:
* how teams coordinate work across humans and agents
* how planning and execution change in an AI-first workflow
* how engineering organizations measure performance in the agentic era
* how teams manage context, review quality, and operational cost as AI usage scales
This month we’ll cover two topics:
**Beyond DORA: The New Metrics for AC/DC (Agentic Coding Delivery Cycle)**
DORA metrics still matter, but they do not fully capture what happens when agents are planning, coding, reviewing, and executing work in parallel.
We’ll discuss:
* new KPIs for agentic engineering workflows
* review burden and coordination overhead
* context reuse and shared visibility
* cost per validated change
* how engineering leaders and ICs should think about performance in an agentic world
**Are You Ready for Metered Token Billing on June 15?**
As headless sessions and agent workflows move toward usage-based economics, teams need to think differently about token spend, execution efficiency, and operational discipline.
We’ll discuss:
* how startups should think about token economics
* the operational implications of metered agent workflows
* balancing speed, quality, and cost
* what “cost-effective” agentic development actually looks like
This meetup is technical, candid, and practitioner-focused.
No generic “AI changes everything” takes. Just real discussions from people actively building AI-first software teams.
