"Experiences that connect the dots in unusual ways" has been this group's motto/ethos since inception, so we are freakin-the-fk out about this one!
Colors. Barrios. Photos. Memories. Minds, rewired. Hearts, uplifted.
Welcome to a special series of events: Primary Colors Summer.

June 3 - Blue in El Grau
July 1 - Yellow in Petxina
August 5 - Magenta in Saidia

We are thrilled to partner with the color scholar and photographer Meg Rouje.
Each walkshop will introduce a new color with insights into its history, science, cultural impact, etc ... while we explore a different neighborhood of Valencia with an eye for that color.
TED Talk meets Photo Hunt meets open-air Standup.
This is not your average look-left/look-right proposition at all.
This is a look-within, a-ha, wow-now challenge.

BLUE IN EL GRAU
Blue as the sky, the sea, some balls, that 90's earworm da-ba-dee da-ba-daa song, your summertime sadness, and certain crabs. We'll meet in the shade of the Tinglado 2 and take it from there: shade by shade, story by story, street by street.

RSVP: IMPORTANT (!)
This is a MeetUp co-production between All Over the Place and ValenFoto. Please, follow RSVP instructions for each event alternating between the groups. June event is open here on All Over the Place. July will be open on ValentFoto. Etc.

COST
This event is FREE. The hosts will pass the hat at the end for welcome donations, but the point is to experience something extraordinary together.

ABOUT HOSTS
MEG ROUJE is a solo traveler, mom of a fluffy potato cat, IACC-certified color consultant, and photographer with synesthesia — she experiences names, music, and Tuesdays as colors. Which explains her lifelong obsession with it. Over the past 15+ years she has written a thesis on color perception and the anomalous mind, taught color strategy to businesses and creative teams, and convinced brands that absolutely everything comes down to the shade of blue they choose. Her writing has appeared in Fast Company, and she is the creator of the Colors of Valencia project, which explores what makes this city so magnetic.

ALEXEY TIMBUL is a storyteller who has taught at Academy of Art University (San Francisco) and International Fashion Academy (Paris). Since 2023 he's been on the jury of CLEC Fashion Festival in the City of Arts and Sciences, a host of Book Lovers Unplugged literary open mic at the only English language bookstore in Valencia, and the producer of @StandUpComedyValencia shows. Most importantly, Alexey is a fulltime Gemini with ADHD.
