Bassem Youssef is a comedian, television host, author, and a surgeon. Bassem started his own podcast in Egypt after the 2011 Egyptian revolution, then moved into TV. In 2013, he was one of Time magazine’s 100 most influential people in the world, and that same year one of Foreign Policy magazine’s 100 Leading Global Thinkers. He is widely remembered for a 2023 Piers Morgan Uncensored interview about the Hamas attack on Israel and the broader Israel-Palestine conflict.
