Day Tour Mixquic , Tlahuac and Trajinera CdMx (Barrios Mágicos) - Mexico City

Let`s explore 2 beautiful villages in Mexico City that are further away from the city center (around 2 /3 hours distance), Mixquic is also 1 of the 21 Barrios Màgicos of Mexico City. A great way to experience and learn more about México City´s rich prehispanic and colonial past, it´s rural and green areas and it´s delicious gastronomy.

TLAHUAC
Tlahuac is the rural counterpart of Xochimilco, alongside channels and chinampas (see blog below) We will visit its beautiful monastery and colorful market, plus, if possible, its regional museum with 3 beautiful prehispanic ovens in the form of masks.

MIXQUIC
Mixquic, one of the 21 Barrios Mágicos of Mexico City, is most famous for it´s Day of Dead Ceremonies (see blog below), but it´s very worthwhile to visit year round, to visit its colonial town, its convent with many prehispanic findings and many small beautiful murals.
