Join us for a restorative spring afternoon at Sweet Run State Park, where fresh air, budding trees, and the quiet rhythms of spring invite a return to balance. Through guided forest therapy invitations, you’ll awaken your senses through listening, noticing, and gentle exploration, allowing the forest to calm the nervous system and deepen your connection with nature and within yourself. Pause to soak in the healing tones of a sound bath, letting the vibrations support relaxation and integration. Step into the forest, notice its subtle details, and reconnect with yourself in this restorative afternoon.

Spring Native Plant Sale

At Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy’s Spring Native Plant Sale, you’ll find a diverse selection of flowers, vines, trees, shrubs, and ferns from five outstanding local nurseries: Hill House Farm & Nursery, Nature By Design, Seven Bends Nursery, Watermark Woods Native Plants, and Yellow House Natives.
Our knowledgeable volunteers will be on hand to help you choose plants suited to your space and goals. Be sure to visit the Native Plant Information Center for expert talks offered throughout the day on topics like native plants for beginners, transitioning to a native garden, and managing invasive species. Enjoy a cup of coffee from a local vendor while you explore tables hosted by nonprofit partners working to protect and restore native ecosystems. Join Us for a Shenandoah River Hike with the Bluebells
Shenandoah University River Campus at Cool Spring Battlefield, 1400 Parker Ln, Bluemont, VA, US🌿 Description:
During our 3 mile round trip, easy hike, we will soak in the beauty of springtime along the Shenandoah River near Bluemont.Hopefully we'll still see some of the spectacular Virginia Bluebells along the river, although their peak may have past. We will also walk past a Heron rookery with over 15 large nests in a Sycamore tree. Close by is a large Bald Eagles nest where we hope to catch a glimpse of the nesting pair.
So many restorative gifts await as the Bluebells will be blooming, the birds singing and hopefully the Bald Eagles soaring.
In the event of inclement weather, Kate will send out a message by 7pm on Friday to all who have RSVP'ed so please watch this space.

We will meet in the smaller parking area near the trail head. I will be standing by my Silver Camry. We will meet at 9 and start our hike at 9:15.🎒Preparation:

Kate is a trained Imagine Well Being Nature guide and believes in the restorative power of mindfulness in nature amidst the busyness and stresses of life in the DC Metro area.Lisa has been in Virginia for 20+ years. She has been part of a 4H family and spent most leisure time on farm chores with a variety of sheep, goats, horses, cattle and chickens. She is now an empty nester and loves hiking and biking.
