Shakespearean plays are best examples of Elizabethean theatre of medieval times which explored nature of man, society and the universe. It shed light on the psychological world of man, and transmitted ideas across time with the power of spoken word and imagination. Join us for a literary play reading event combined with some theatrical exercises wherein we will extract practical lessons from the famous shakespearean tragedy ‘ Othello’.

Join us on a daylong celebration of culture at New Acropolis Pune. We will have literary reading and theatrical exercise session related to Shakespearean plays, poetry writing session of Japanese Haiku, an origami workshop, a talk and workshop on silent carpentry, a talk by an expert on music and architecture, followed by an evening of classical musical/ dance recital.

The word Origami, from the Japanese ‘oru’ – to fold, and ‘kami’ – paper, denotes the art of folding paper to make beautiful creations. Just as a single sheet of paper can be transformed to something beautiful, with patience, perseverance and imagination, through this session we will also learn about transforming our own daily lives into something beautiful by concentration and by practicing these values. Join us for a hands-on experience of being present through Origami.
