Our meetings typically involve a 30-minute sitting meditation that is part guided, part silent, followed by a reading and an open discussion. It’s free to attend. We welcome all levels of experience with meditation. Our meditation sessions are led by rotating members of the group. There is no leader or authoritarian structure. Everyone is equal. Come as you are. Be prepared to remove your shoes and silence your phone. We meet at Austin Zen Center at 11am on Sunday. I'm going to arrive about 15 minutes early and sit on the front porch of the Zen Center to wait for people. Casual open play pickleball for all levels, including beginners. Equipment: You will need to purchase a paddle, or you can rent one from the front desk. We play with “outdoor” balls. Usually our group has some but it’s a good idea to bring them just in case. I highly recommend wearing a good quality court shoe and comfortable athletic wear.
