TYPICAL EVENING PROGRAM

• Each evening begins with attendees able to meet and network among themselves. This is a valued part of the evening; info is shared along with those uplifting success stories we all like to hear!

Each meeting then has a group discussion, a guest speaker or a panel.

Topics are selected for their relevance to high-functioning individuals and their families.

The Orange County Asperger's Support Group is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that provides support, education, parent advocacy and adult self-advocacy for those dealing with Asperger's Syndrome, High-Functioning Autism (HFA) and PDD-NOS.

This support group is a community of Asperger's adults and families living in Orange County (and surrounding counties). We were founded in 2003.

Our Mission:
We provide hope and support for people with Asperger’s, High-Functioning Autism and PDD-NOS and their families through meetings, online communities, social events, skills training, education and advocacy. We are committed to improving communication, understanding and acceptance between the Asperger's and neurologically typical populations, and to ultimately improving the quality of life for all.

We have a monthly support meeting in Newport Beach [3rd Monday...check calendar] and one in North County [4th Monday]. Monthly support meeting topics range from childhood issues like school IEPs to adult issues like jobs and careers.

Informal socialization among children is encouraged. Children must be able to sit with other children during the meeting in a separate section from their parents. If you have a special circumstance, please discuss it with our moderators prior to coming to the meeting.

We have age-specific activities for all ages -- helping kid, teen and adult Aspies with community integration and social skills. Please see our calendar and files section for more information on specific meetings and activities.
