Using SonarQube to drive code quality at enterprise scale

Join Eric Starr, Manager of Continuous Delivery, to hear about how Optum uses SonarQube (aka "Sonar") to drive code quality across engineering teams in a Fortune 6 organization.

SonarQube® software (previously called Sonar) is an open source quality management platform, dedicated to continuously analyze and measure technical quality, from project portfolio to method.

Also this is the debut of one of our new Meetup locations at North Hills in Raleigh. Our friends at Insight Global have offered us use of their training room. Members of their staff will be waiting in the lobby to escort you up to the meeting location on the 12th floor (which requires badge access).

Pizza and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided by Insight Global.

Hey folks, I was able to get access to the space today and it's not nearly as large as I understood it to be. There's comfortable seating for about *35* guests, with some overflow capacity to maybe *45*, and we have *60* RSVP'd attendees. If you're not planning on going, please change your RSVP accordingly. I'd hate to get us into a situation where a lot of people are stuck standing in the back of the room or sitting on the floor in the aisles.

Unfortunately, I will be out of town for this meeting consulting with Massachusetts Department of Health. I am alway curious about how companies are using technology to improve business operations. I wish I could be there.

2nd announcement: O'Reilly has given us a discount code for their fall conference lineup, such as Velocity and Security. The code USRG will get you 20% off.

So if you can make it to one of O'Reilly's fall conferences, enjoy that discount.

I unfortunately can't make this meetup, but I have a couple of announcements for everyone.

First up, DevOpsDays Raleigh is happening Oct. 6th and 7th at the McKimmon Center in Raleigh. Most of the schedule is up and registration is now open. Total cost is only 100 dollars, so I'd encourage everyone to attend if you can. Attendance is capped at 200, so you'll likely want to get a ticket sooner rather than later.
