Volleyball Train and Game (VTAG) is a home to more than 600 volleyball enthusiasts from around Amsterdam and beyond. As the go-to club for both expats and locals alike, it is the perfect environment for developing and elevating volleyball skills. Our shared passion for the sport fosters a welcoming community, where members find kindred spirits and build lasting friendships.
We operate on a "train and game" model, blending focused volleyball drills with both lighthearted and fiercely competitive play.
Our core value and goal at VTAG is to create a second home and a strong support network for all volleyball aficionados —a vibrant community where everyone feels they belong.
Schedule and Prices
Our sessions are every Saturday and weekdays at different halls in Amsterdam. Saturday sessions are for 3 hours with the model stated above and we charge €10 per person and weekday game sessions are for 2 hours and we charge €8 per person.

Are you ready to fire up your volleyball muscles? Well, you're in the right place!
Here's what to expect from VTAG's weekend session:
- -(10-15) min: early arrival; get changed and ready to play
- 10-15 min: group welcome and warm up
- 45-50 min: volleyball drills
- 1h and 50min: games (5:1 rotation)
- 10 min: cool down and clean up
In both - training and games - players are divided into groups/teams based on their individual skill level. If in doubt about your skill level, check the guide HERE. Beginners are welcome to join for the training part of the session (we are soon to launch a separate event for beginners!).
Please Note:
- We will share a Tikkie link for €10 on our shared WhatsApp group, or you can pay by cash at the event.
- If you can no longer make it, change your RSVP at least 48h prior to the event to help us prepare a skill appropriate training and teams for everyone.
- We will play a 5-1 rotation. If you don't have a set position, we can help you determine the best fit for you.

Tryouts - VTAG Competitive Teams (Nevobo)

VTAG was born as an international community through meetup, organizing train and game sessions, but we developed into an official club registered in the Amsterdam league. We will be holding tryouts for the upcoming season (August-December) in the following dates:
April 22 - 8:30 to 10:30 PM
April 29 - 8:30 to 10:30 PM
May 6 - 8:30 to 10:30 PMLocation is at Sporthal Blauw-wit (also our training hall).
We are looking for players from lower intermediate to advanced level (B to BB+ see descriptions here). In the Nevobo competition, these are the current classes:
Men - Class 3 (two teams) and 6 (new team).
Women - Class 2, 3 and 6 (new team).Our club tries to combine competitive play with a fun, inclusive environment. We are an international community that supports each other and where people make friends for life! If that sounds like something you'd be interested in, come check it out!
