Disney's Animal Kingdom

The Pixie Annual Pass is currently $520 Midweek which is the best Value if you're going alot like we are.
The Florida Residency passes are constantly changing and currently a four day is $64 per day plus tax. (This will soon expire and change to another package so studying is necessary.
Florida Residency Tickets are from $176 plus tax on a 2 day ticket or $196 for a three day ticket versus $149 plus tax for a one day ticket

Disney’s Animal Kingdom is Walt Disney World’s youngest park. It is part gorgeous theme park and part very elaborate zoo.Pandora is an amazing land full with tropical plants from our world and the far-flung planet of Pandora. The Boat Ride is even more stunning as the land glows with bioluminescence.

Leave at 12pm Noon to Barberville with a rest stop at Bucees on route
Arrive around 2:30 at the Barberville Art Emporium to view the thousands of Incredible Statues ranging from Aliens to the Statue of Liberty to Elephants Dinosaurs and Frisch's Big Boy.
A short driving tour of Deland includes a restored neighborhood, a Military Mural, Historic Buildings, A clock from China and the Stetson University with a picture opportunity with John Stetson and his Stetson Cowboy Hat.An early Dinner will be at Cooks Buffet with a choice of Fish, Mint Jelly Lamb Shank, Chicken, Prime Rib and a huge unlimited Salad Buffet and many Vegetables to complete a full downhome Meal at the former Water Skier from Cypress Garden Willa Cook who authored 2 cooking books and founder of the 14 restaurant Holiday House chain with the original in Deland. The Dessert section houses huge cakes and pies that I recommend be shared by several people or wait for our stop at Pat and Toni's Chocolate shop, candies and Ice Cream. Then a block away and near the Athens Theater is the Half Wall Sports Bar with a choice of Drinks in a nice atmosphere and we haven't even gotten to the show yet! The Athen's Theater is decorated in Red and Black and Rod Iron and is two stories high with an old fashioned Balcony. Check out the painting picture from the Deland House showing how they dressed for this place in the 20's that is the roaring 1920's. This is the best small to medium sized theater to see shows and concerts. I have been fortunate enough to see the PInk Floyd Light Show Concert, Driving Miss Daisy, Escape to Margaritiville, Holiday Inn and next in December the musical version of Ralphie in the Christmas Story.
