In a rather near future where humans depend on robots, Max, a former teacher who is resistant to technology, scrapes a living with her daughter thanks to small schemes. She has a plan: kidnap a state-of-the-art robot to sell it for parts. But everything goes wrong. Flanked by this robot that exasperates her, she embarks on a chase to find her daughter and prove that there is still some humanity left in this world.
