At Gambeta Football Club, we bring together the best recreational soccer games for men and women in the greater Boston area. Our members are not just teammates but also competitors and friends, united by a love for the beautiful game. As a club created by players, for players, we pride ourselves on fostering an inclusive and dynamic environment.
When you join our pickup games, we have a few guidelines to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone:
- No slide tackling, even if it seems clean.
- Self-regulate fouls: If someone claims a foul, respect their call, hand over the ball, and keep the game flowing.
- Ball retrieval: If you kick the ball out of bounds, please retrieve it promptly.
- Minimize disputes: Avoid wasting time on arguments about calls; focus on keeping the game moving.
- Positive vibes only: Encourage and uplift your fellow players. No criticism, just good energy.
These rules have helped us maintain a fun and secure atmosphere since our founding eight years ago. Adherence to these principles is crucial, and players who do not comply will be asked to leave the group.
Additionally, if you RSVP "yes" to an event and fail to show up without timely notice, you will be removed from the group. This includes last-minute changes to your RSVP.
We aim to host as many free and open games as possible. Occasionally, we may charge a fee to cover costs for facilities or field rentals, especially for our indoor games.
Located in Boston, we play every single week, year-round, at top-notch venues with professional equipment. Our high-quality games feature a diverse group of talented players, each bringing an average of over 20 years of soccer experience. Our members hail from all over the world, including the USA, Brazil, France, Ecuador, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, Mexico, Albania, England, Germany, Ireland, Argentina, Italy, and Greece. Together, we spread the "Cultura de Futbol!"
