LOCATION CHANGE Please note I have moved the event to the Strait and Narrow bar as I think it's a more suitable venue for our large group. I'll be there from 2pm, it's all very informal, there's no set plan. £1 subs as always please 🍻

Meeting at the front of Doddington Hall, free parking, we'll set off on a mixture of paths and trails made up of varying surfaces. Passing through open fields, before exploring deep into the 'Old Wood' of Skellingthorpe.
Once in the woods, there will be numerous turns and paths leading away from the route we'll be taking. It's possible to get lost or separated. I'll try not to lose anybody in these woods.
For those not wanting to do the full distance, there are a number of escape routes

Bring snacks and drinks. There is a suitable place to rest and eat.

Dogs welcome, but may have to be on leads.
Cafe and toilets available at the start/finish location.
Normal £1 fee.

Meeting at Skellingthorpe community centre (free parking) we will walk along the cycle / footpath to the road bridge then go under the bypass to the Pyewipe inn. Stop for a drink then return to Skellingthorpe. It is around 2.2 miles each way. Dogs welcome on a lead. Please check the weather and dress accordingly. Subs £1. Thanks…….

Join us for a lovely spring Day trip to Castleton. Meeting at the vistors centre and then visiting the bakery for snacks we will then ascend out of the north of Castleton across fields to Lose Hill. We then cross the great ridge to Mam Tor then return to castleton over Winnats pass. Optional fish & chips or pub dinner at the end. I’d recommend ‘The George’ dogs allowed on a lead due to livestock, there are some stiles to climb over and gates. Car sharing advised. Distance approximately 6.0 miles. Please dress accordingly for chageable weather and put an extra layer and waterproofs in your backpack.
