Cette nouvelle session sera par défaut anglophone pour permettre à tous les résidents étrangers sur la CUB de découvrir et pratiquer la méditation + facilement.
Welcome to our dedicated meditation room, located at 110 Cours de l'Yser, Bordeaux.
A warm, wood-paneled room welcomes you every Tuesday for an initial introduction, followed by guidance toward an independent daily practice.
Each workshop is also an opportunity to discover the joy of collective meditation, whether guided, musical, or in silence. We can accommodate about ten new participants per session.
A friendly 10-minute period is often dedicated to chatting over herbal tea at the end of each roughly 50-minute introductory session.
### How is a session organized?
- 6:00 PM: Doors open; time to settle in.
- 6:10 PM – 7:00 PM: Introduction begins (by 6:15 PM at the latest).
- 7-7:15 PM –Cchat time around herbal tea and closure.
### What is the program?
It's an initiation for newcomers :
- Introduction to Sahaja Yoga and our local group, a member of the national MSSY association and part of the worldwide movement of spontaneous and free meditation founded by Shri Mataji in 1967.
- The introduction, known as the "Self-Realization" experience, is THE foundational protocol where we ask our inner energy to manifest and guide us toward self-awareness by deciphering subtle signals.
...And a support for beginners (<6 weeks practise) :
- Experiencing inner silence (to varying degrees for each person) and the fading away of thoughts, known as "Thoughtless Awareness."
- Exploration of the subtle chakra system based on the expectations and progress of the attendees.
### Why join us?
In short, you will discover that we can tame our attention and manage it as a highly precious asset, capable of helping us uncover often-unsuspected inner wealth.
Around this central point revolve 3 recurring themes:
- Grounding oneself, rediscovering one's connection to energy (of Mother Earth), and focusing on the breath.
- Cultivating one's inner child, embracing the peace of silence, and awakening one's joyful power.
- Experiencing the reality of our subtle energies and learning how to derive information and actions from them.
### How does it work?
Our regular Sahaja Yoga meditation sessions are always free and open to everyone—including accompanied children who wish to join—provided you have a sincere desire for balance and inner peace.
The room is temperature controled and equipped with benches and cushions. Our practice is a non-postural, inner yoga, so you don't need to bring anything except whatever might be necessary for your own comfort, depending on your physical condition.
### What's next?
You can join our WhatsApp group (for document sharing, Q&A, etc.) by scannng the banner QR code on the botoom right corner and, if you feel like it, continue the adventure in the following weeks in an intermediate level workshop.
You can progress on your own (at home, using our online educational resources) and collectively by participating in deepening sessions, foot soaks, various techniques, music, silence, and more.
### By the way, why meditate?
In our hyperactive society, we constantly alternate between the stress of planned action and the accumulation of emotions linked to our desires and their associated frustrations. Alcohol, tobacco, overwork, anger, loneliness, and depression often lie in wait for us.
Meditation allows us, through self-observation, to gradually distance ourselves from these pitfalls and greatly improve our daily lives by grounding them in joy, detachment, and ultimately, the love of what is.
As a reminder, the uniqueness of Sahaja Yoga lies in adding a "vertical"—that is, spiritual—dimension to the traditional search for the present moment and inner peace. This grounding identification with the Spirit ensures that we do not drift into esoteric pursuits that could disturb the psyche or body, all while learning to master our subtle dimensions.
The goal is to get to know oneself better and become one's own master, with maximum discernment and compassion. The path involves experiencing silence, visiting our shadows, and connecting with our inner light, without fear, in the joy of being, beyond our bodies, thoughts, and emotions.
Ultimately, these teachings invite us to freely explore our spirituality, whether or not we belong to a specific faith or belief system.
