## Build the Fuzz Face!

Thanks to everyone who came to the last event. We didn't get around to bread boarding, I plan to make this a priority at this event!

Ever thought about prototyping your work on a breadboard for experimentation? The goal for this event will be to build and test a project on the breadboard!

With the help of Rolf, I'm planning a followup event where we design PCB with Kicad. Take your idea from the breadboard to production!

This class is for people who would like to learn how to use a 3d printer.
Either your own or the ones located at Noisebridge.
This class is mandatory if you want to use the NB printers
and have no previous experience with 3d printers

Topics we will cover:
- the filament materials available (PLA, PETG, ABS, TPU and some
of the exotic Carbon Fibre based filaments) and what they are
suitable for.
- how to find models to print (thingiverse, makerworld, printables)
- how to design your own (brief introduction to TinkerCad).
- how to prepare your model for printing using a slicer
(e.g. BambuStudio, Orca, PrusaSlicer, Cura)
- how to prepare the printer for printing
- how to change filament
- how to level the bed (manual or auto).
- cleaning the build plate
- how and when to apply additives to the build plate
- troubleshooting when things go wrong.
- good online sources (youtube.com: Teaching Tech, CNC Kitchen, The Next Layer, Made with Layers).
- hands on demo of using the NB 3d printers to print a model.

Learn how to be safe while using the laser cutter! We have a 150W, CO2 laser cutter with a 3 x 4 ft bed. This training is required to use the laser cutter because we don't want people setting our most expensive equipment donation on fire. You have to do this training even if you were trained at the old space, as we have different safety features now.

• Dangers of the laser cutter
• How to be safe
• How to put out a fire

Each participant will cut a piece of cardboard on the laser cutter while following all the safety steps.

This is also a good place to ask questions about specific materials or projects. There is a 5$ fee to register, and we suggest a 20-30$ donation for this class: https://donate.noisebridge.net. If the registration fee is a barrier to your participation, please reach out to the event organisers.
