Peer-Led French Study Circle – Strasbourg

This is a small, peer-led French study group in Strasbourg for English speakers who want to improve their French without paying high fees for institutions or private tutors.

The idea is simple: gather a committed group of around 10–15 people at a similar French level, for example A2, and meet in person for focused study and practice sessions of around 3–4 hours.

This is not a traditional class. There is no paid teacher. Each session is led by one member using apps, games, conversation exercises, grammar practice, role-play, reading, listening, writing tasks, or other interactive activities. At the end of each session, another member is assigned to prepare and lead the next one.

The group is for people who are serious, reliable, and willing to participate actively. Members should be comfortable communicating in English, have a similar French level to the group, and be ready to contribute equally to the process.

If we use a paid venue, the cost will be shared equally among confirmed participants. The expected contribution will usually be around €5–10 per session, depending on the venue and group size. Free or low-cost venues will be prioritised whenever possible.

Membership is not automatic. To keep the group focused and balanced, new members may be asked a few questions about their French level, availability, motivation, and willingness to participate actively.

The goal is to create a practical, affordable, friendly, and disciplined learning circle where everyone contributes and everyone improves.
