Are the lyrics poetic or a philosophical masterpiece like in some old hip-hop or is it about the sound of the vocals or hypnotic melodies? Did the song (or artist) play a pivotal role in shaping political change & influence in society (yes some musicians have even died for their artform) or the evolution of new music genres, sub cultures and underground music movements today? Was Lennon & McCartney the greatest ever singer song writer combo or have you heard better? Who are the best all time music producers & song writers - Max Martin, Billy Joel, George Martin, Quincy Jones, Bernie Taupin, Dr Dre, Carole King? Did PWL records destroy the British music scene or contribute to it? We can also touch on influential music producers, labels, DJs and radio stations as well. Discussion on all elements of musicology and enablers is up for grabs.
