Tribalheart Ecstatic Dance
Tribalheart Ecstatic Dance
Tribalheart Ecstatic dance creates space for free-form movement in a chat free zone where you can dive deeply into the heart, reconnecting, expressing, dancing in and out, up and down, learning to let go of anything and everything that holds you back from yourSelf and inner freedom. Let the energy move you, let the spirit of the heart guide you. There is space to dance alone and no pressure to connect with anyone else, just be yourself and honour what you need in the moment. This night is an inspiration and fusion of club culture, dancing yoga, active meditation, cardio fitness, Ecstatic trance dance (blindfolds available) and a sacred Nataraj. If you choose to connect, it is a chance to meet others without words from a place of movement, meditation, energy and soul; eyes and heart wide open. ### We will start the evening with a welcoming warmup to relax the body and mind. Together we will set an intention for the evening inviting the heart to open and awaken within us thus creating sacred space for all. For those that wish to partake, we will enjoy and deepen our intention with a short Cacao ceremony. (The cacao is used to take us deeper into our body, awakening our senses, connecting us to heart energy and aiding a spring in our step) We also embark on some dynamic breathwork to fire us up for the evening. \- Please leave at least 2 hours after eating a heavy meal if drinking cacao\. -Please do not drink alcohol before the event as it is contraindicated with some of the breathwork techniques we practice We inject passion into sourcing the music for our events and aim to deliver an eclectic mix of genres for your heart. From tribal to electronic and everything in between we aim to assist a natural flow peaking and resting to mirror the rhythm and energy of life. Prepare to shake, spin, whirl and twirl. The music becomes the facilitator during the wild ecstatic dance ending with moments of stillness into silence where we can rest and breathe together Each DJ has their own sound and energy to be shared, making each night unique and different... 16 MAY-DJ ATMO@THE PIRATE CASTLE- last dance here 30TH MAY- WOODLAND DANCE OUTSIDE 6TH JUNE-DJ TARA@SELF RETREAT 13TH JUNE DJ TBC@SELF RETREAT 20TH JUNE-DJ ATMO@SELF RETREAT Admission **New Venue**-Doors open from 630pm and we start at 7pm. Tribalheart OSHO Dynamic meditation
Tribalheart OSHO Dynamic meditation
The Venue is a room in Lauderdale house set on the entrance of the magnificent Waterlow park in Highgate (nearest tube is Archway, on the northern line. Waterlow park is less then 10min walk up highgate hill) A very beautiful location to be after such a energizing and emotionally cleansing experience! Doors open 0830am Instructions 0900am Meditation -915am-1015am (no admission after 915am) There is a cafe downstairs for you to drink, eat and connect together afterwards or you may feel drawn to wander alone into the majestic park, soaking up the beauty of the trees, lakes and landscape...whatever is right for you! Active meditations were designed by Osho with us westerners in mind. It can be challenging with our hectic lifestyles, full of stimulus to just sit down and switch off into silence. How many times have you heard people say' I just can't meditate, my mind is too busy, my body cannot be still etc...' Active meditations were designed by Osho to use the body and breath first, enabling us to 'empty our vessel ' through physical movement. By doing this we release pent up emotions and tension in the body so that we are more able to reach inner stillness, silence and meditation. We will commence with the dynamic meditation for a series of weeks then rotate to try other active meditations designed by Osho. What is the dynamic meditation? A complete work out for mind, body and soul; It is the mother of all emotional cleansers!! More detailed instructions for new comers given at 845am(optional attendance if you know this meditation well). Meditation starts 9am sharp. Doors will have to close then. This technique is in 5 stages that flow together beautifully to make up the complete meditation. It is done with the eyes closed so no need to feel self conscious; no one is looking at you! Stage 1)chaotic breathing. Completely takes you out of the mind, energizes, detoxifies and oxygenates the body in preparation for the next stage Stage 2)Catharsis-emptying your vessel! How often will you get the the opportunity to release on such a spectacular level. Your endorphins will be flying as you act out, scream, cry, shout, play madness as best you can. Doing this regular will release stress and tension on all levels; It could keep you sane:) Stage 3)''Hoo'' phase. Grounding the energy Stage 4)Silence...drop inside and really experience the witnessing self. Meditation will come easily now. Stage 5)Dance. Celebrate your experience like a new born you Meditations will start at 9am (running for one hour )on Saturday mornings. New comers please arrive at 845am if you want to go over the instructions... Cost is on a sliding scale depending on your wage or situation- £20/15 (please pay by cash, paypal or eventbrite. Correct money if paying cash please) https://paypal.me/moveandmeditate?locale.x=en_GB https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/osho-dynamic-meditation-tickets-164956387997 If money is a problem please speak to Tara, all are welcome This meditation can be done alone but the more the merrier for a real energy blast. I know it's early but get up and JOIN IN!!! Trust me you will feel amazing afterwards.... Ideally this is best done on an empty stomach(certainly not a full one). As I said there is a cafe downstairs so you won't go hungry or you can always picnic in the park! Come alone or come with friends. Bring a bottle of water and an open mind! FREE PARKING ON HIGHGATE HILL SATURDAYS :0 Additional info:- Lauderdale House Waterlow Park Highgate Hill London N6 5HG Lauderdale House is a white house behind the gates to Waterlow Park on Highgate Hill. It's on the left hand side heading north up from Archway tube, ( just past St Joseph’s Church on the corner of Dartmouth Park Hill). It faces Highgate Hill and is easily visible from the pavement, backing onto Waterlow Park.

💿Bangin Anthems Till 7AM: RnB, AFROBEAT, HOUSE @Iconic EGG 🎧Islington🎼 FREE
**Love dancing to hedonistic, high‑energy dance tunes?** Then join for our second edition of an euphoric, high‑octane dance music night with one of the finest French Swiss **dance‑music DJs and Producers** out there dropin phenomenal uplifting spiritual, hypnotic melodic grooves for us to lose ourselves to in one of the most iconic venues in London’s clubland — **EGG** Islington, in the home of music. Collectively - their music has amassed over 18 million streams. Expect a proper dance music club‑night experience with inspiring immersive lightshows / lasers for our bodies to sync in harmony to as with gyrate to the **rhythms** of the night. Obvs there will be no uncool mainstream "touristy" teenage pop but proper music anthems for non -stop dancin- think ecstasy inducing tunes you'd dance to at other dance music clubs like Lightbox, Egg, Bagleys, Ministry, Moondance, Fabric, Paradise, Studio 54 (Brooklyn) spun by global DJs renowed in these genres. We'll join up to 1,500 other fellow cool young trendy music lovers for a night of blissful musical tranquility, Average age range will be 18 to 35ish heavily skewed toward 20s men. **Free Tickets limited.** Sorry but if you don't love both uplifting dance music and dancing - please don't rsvp and deprive genuine musical dancers an extremely rare free place! And honestly, if you're only gonna stay for less than a couple of hours there's probably no point in coming. You don't need to stay till 5am like last time but as per most proper clubs - most revellers don't arrive untill 1ish and the main DJ / music sets don't even kick off till 12 so it's would be waste of a free ticket that you'd normally pay up to £70 quid for! Oh & please don't ask me about 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine (like every time frequented clubs with my mates - I'd alwaly get some random 19 year old posh white english girl asking me for some - like seriously - is it cause eye is brown?). I'm not a biochemist - try your local Boots! **=== Time To Make The Floor Burn But Early ===** The only downside is we have to get in there before 11pm else regular door charge tickets will be about £45-80 quid. If you wanna pay for full price on door/ pre-buy and meet us in there later that's cool too as 11pm is understandably way too early to go a club (hence the free tickets) - we can sort out the details later. DM me for the free ticket link. We'll meet beforehand somewhere quieter for pre-drinks, intros, banter and obviously music chats about our previous rave escapades, our fav tunes, and non-music related banter. As Koko gets packed by 2am (1500 standing dancing cap) and we have restricted free tickets - to avoid losing people - a small group size will be optimal for dancing and socialising so limiting RSVPs. Obviously you can dance with the other ravellers once they arrive. Will update with nearby super cheap pre-drinks Camden venue in the location and comments so keep an ear out Lucas The Raver

The Grand Flaneur Walk
The Grand Flaneur Walk
*If that sounds like a bit of you, then get **Sunday 17 May 2026** in your diary. It sees the return of the Grand Flaneur Walk, in which the dapperest chaps and chapesses of London Town dress up to the nines in their finest seersucker, blazers, boaters and playsuits, before embarking on the dandiest — and let's be honest, showiest — stroll around central London you're likely to witness.* *The rendezvous, for anyone who wishes to watch or take part (it's open to all), is 12pm at [Courtyard Wine Cellars](https://www.coventgarden.london/brand-directory/courtyard-wine-cellars) in Covent Garden, where a complimentary dram is promised for participants, before a few stirring words on the subject of flanerie shared by Chap editor Gustav Temple. After this, the budding boulevardiers set on their 'merry way towards Baudelaire only knows where'.* Further info at: https://londonist.com/london/things-to-do/grand-flaneur-walk Join us for our next meetup at Richmond Park, where we’ll focus on outdoor and nature photography. This is a prime time to capture the park’s transition into late spring, focusing on the deep textures of the ancient oaks and the dynamic movement of the deer herds. 📍 Meeting point: [Courtyard Wine Cellar](https://www.coventgarden.london/brand-directory/courtyard-wine-cellars) 🧭 Address: 17B and 18B The Market Building, London, WC2E 8RB Bring your any camera (digital, analog, phone or video), and let’s see what we can capture! **What to expect** A friendly environment where all cameras and skill levels are welcome. This is not a workshop; if you’d like to grow your photography skills, check out our other events and workshops designed for those who want to learn more about photography techniques. **Stay connected** The day of the event, Live location will be shared on our WhatsApp group ([https://chat.whatsapp.com/Ek2mMMZioqu19CJJPoQal4](https://chat.whatsapp.com/Ek2mMMZioqu19CJJPoQal4)) **Want help with your camera?** We welcome all kind of photo and video cameras! You’re welcome to ask for tips: we’re a supportive community. Jules and Jim, the Book!
Jules and Jim, the Book!
By popular demand, the group wanted to read and discuss the semi-autobiographical novel by Henri-Pierre Roche, that inspired the Truffaut movie we watched last year. The book is available through the Columbus Library's interlibrary loan system. They reported there are twenty-eight copies available in the state of Ohio. If you have a library card, you can file an interlibrary loan request here: https://www.columbuslibrary.org/library-services/ . There are also used copies available on Amazon and eBay for under twenty dollars. You may want to rewatch the movie after reading the book, so we can compare and contrast in our discussion. The Columbus Library has four copies on DVD, and it's streaming on HBOMax.
COUNT monthly event: Kitchen service at Van Buren Center's shelter
COUNT monthly event: Kitchen service at Van Buren Center's shelter
Come assist Van Buren Shelter (https://ymcacolumbus.org/locations/vanburen) staff in serving dinners and cleaning up on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Dinner for the women is 5-6 pm and for the families is 6:15-7:15 pm. There is ample free parking available in the shelter's lot. The recommended area to park is in green in the image above. There will be a new entrance for the time being. We are asking all volunteers to enter through the Donation Dock door, the orange mark on the image above. This door is located between the Single Adults and Family Shelter. You will see 2 large garage doors with a large green trash compactor in the center. Please head to the closest garage door to the building wall, with a ramp leading up. There, you will see a door with a sign stating instructions on how to enter the building. Please ring the doorbell, and a staff member will come and escort you into the building. If a staff member takes longer than 5 minutes, please call the front desk at 614-689-2020. This is a new process for us, and we do not want to keep you waiting! We appreciate your patience as we navigate this temporary change. The shelter needs a volunteer count the day before the event so sign-up ends Monday at 4:50 PM. Afterwards some of us go to the Omnipresent Atheists Weekly Meetup in progress to have a bit to eat or drink (http://www.meetup.com/omnipresentatheists/). Volunteers must be 14 or older. Since we will be working around families, the YMCA does not permit volunteering by individuals with convictions for violent or sexual crimes. The YMCA reserves the right to run background checks on volunteers. For questions, comment on this page or contact: Andrew, awhit12@yahoo.com, (614)937-5802 (cell). Please let Andrew know if you volunteer anytime other than our COUNT events so that he can count your hours toward our service record.
Speak Easy (Storytelling)
Speak Easy (Storytelling)
The topic for May is "Ink" Speak Easy: true stories, told live. The idea is simple: an audience, an open microphone, and great stories. Hilarious, gripping, poignant- it's up to you. Audiences are invited to come to listen or come to tell as folks from all corners of Columbus offer their stories live on stage! Held at Wild Goose Creative's warm, intimate space, this night of tales occurs on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 7:00 pm. Please arrive early if you want to tell, as we generally only have room for a limited number of tellers, and the sign-up sheet has a tendency to fill up fast. Formed around the idea that people need stories--they're what hold and draw us together--SpeakEasy celebrates the strangeness and commonness of being human. And in a world of smartphones, Facebook, Twitter, and more . . . it gives people a real, breathing, in-person way to connect. The night is geared for true stories of all kinds, taking the best tales told around kitchen tables, in darkened pubs, on the street corner, and at late-night parties and giving them an audience. Speak Easy is also a great outlet for performers, writers, and artists looking to share their favorite stories and perfect their skills. We strongly encourage tellers to please tell the story rather than read it so we keep within the spirit of good storytelling and stay engaged with the audience. All are welcome. Hang around after the show for a drink and build community!
