Join us for our regular Tuesday evening playing Padel. **How we play** Intermediate and Advanced Players are welcome (no beginners on Tuesday, please join us on Friday or Sunday instead). Number of courts depends on the number of players * 4-7 players: one court * 8-11 players: two courts * 12-15 players: three courts Ideally, 6, 10 or 14 players are attending * Then you play two matches in a row and then take a break * A match is played in a single set. First team reaching four games wins the match. We play a minimum of six games per set (means even after 4:0 you still play two more games in this set) If an odd number of players are attending, we adapt to the situation Teams are mixed all the time. So you will play with/against different players during the event * Teams are put together based on their skill level * We focus on having balanced teams **Price** * 10 € for 1h * 17 € for 2h * If you need a racket, you can rent it from us for 2 € (limited number available). Otherwise you can always rent from the venue for 5 € * We use the money to cover the courts rent, base-subscription for renting, providing balls and rackets **Cancellation** * Please cancel at least 4h before the event. Otherwise you have to pay the fee for one hour * We understand that sometimes unexpected things can come up. However, not showing up and failing to let us know is considered disrespectful and goes against our community spirit. Uncommented no-shows may result in being excluded from future events. **Other information** * The venue has courts **outdoor only**. On se rencontre chaque mercredi pour parler français. Parmi nous, il y a des gens qui ont le français comme langue maternelle, et des gens qui aiment le français et le maîtrisent plus ou moins. On aime discuter et parler de tout et de rien, et on est toujours content de recevoir des gens qui sont de passage ou des nouvelles personnes qui veulent écouter, parler, pratiquer ou poser des questions. Cette semaine, on retourne au Café Merkur, Café sympa et calme avec une cuisine de mediteranée orientale. La table est toujours gérée d'une façon très libre et relaxée, on se rencontre et on parle aux autres participants et participantes autour de nous. NOTE: Si vous comptez venir, inscrivez-vous s'il vous plaît, pour qu'on puisse prévoir assez (mais pas trop non plus) d'espace au restaurant. Comme ça, on sera à l'aise et l'endroit qui nous accueille aussi. On commence à 18h30 , mais ce n'est pas un problème de rejoindre après. This week is Twos-day on a Wednesday. Bring your favorite 2 player games and be ready to teach some and learn others. We'll bounce around and get to know new people and new games. Think speed dating but without the stress, romance or dating! And we don't judge, if you'd prefer to stick to bigger games by all means, go for it! The Forge does have a full bar and kitchen. There is no cover charge but they do request all attendees to purchase a minimum of ~$20 per person. Soft drink refills are $1 each. Please support our hosts so we can continue to provide great events for the group! The Forge has a large library of games available for us to enjoy. Hosts and regulars will also provide numerous popular games but please bring any games you would like to teach and/or play. Doors open at 6, and we expect gaming to be rolling by around 630. Please promptly end your games and clear out the space at 10pm when the bar closes. We encourage socializing but do not permit disruptive behavior of any kind. We meet to learn and practice American Sign Language and to grow our familiarity with Deaf culture. Facilitated by hearing folks (with a connection to a professional interpreter) using Deaf-created content. People of all ASL skill levels are welcome! As we learn, we hope to connect more with the Deaf community in Central Ohio. Join us as you're able! Come regularly or just once - whatever you're looking for! Each meetup will explore different topics related to ASL/Deaf culture, and will feature time to practice conversation with one another. Just bring yourself and a willingness to learn!
