Each month Noah Gitlis teaches a different Jazz Standard with emphasis on melody, harmony, accompaniment, and rhythm. The goal of the class is to help students boost their jazz repertoire, and build the skills required to feel confident in a jazz jam session. These classes are a lot of fun and a great way to get out and play with other people while learning some really fun music. All instruments and skill levels are welcome but students should have basic proficiency on their instrument to get the most out of the class. Keith + Tina Return!! for a four part Irish Session Class! Saturdays 1:30-2:30pm 4/18, 5/2, 5/16, + 5/30 limited to 15 participants! Across the globe, the beating heart and home of traditional Irish music is the session. Whether it takes place in a pub or around a kitchen table, the session is where musicians share tunes, learn from one another, and enjoy good company. This course offers a chance to play traditional Irish dance tunes — jigs, reels, polkas, and hornpipes — while discovering how a session works under the guidance of two veteran session leaders. Join the National Museum of the American Latino on Saturday, April 18, from 10:30 AM–5 PM to celebrate our new exhibition, ¡Puro Ritmo! The Musical Journey of Salsa, and enjoy an afternoon of music, dance, and activities throughout the museum. The program will include salsa dance lessons, a guided gallery tour of the exhibition, family activities, a West African percussion performance and a live salsa concert. Visitors can also attend a listening session guided by prominent salseros and family story time. All ages are welcome.

Maureen will provide two different sheets - one arrangement for beginner players (who know 3-4 chords) and another arrangement for intermediate players. This way, everyone wins! In this monthly workshop, you will learn the fundamentals of proper vocal technique and practice singing in harmony with others.
