Walking Trails @ CDC: Woodlands (Earn up to $15 RedeemSG Rewards)
Join us for a casual walk along the newly launched Walking Trails @ CDC: Woodlands (Heritage Edition).This 4.4km route takes us from the futuristic Woodlands North MRT Station (Exit 1), through the scenic Woodlands Waterfront Promenade, and ends at the vibrant Marsiling Lane Market. For those who want to join in for dinner, we will ltake a bus to an aircon food court near Woodlands MRT Station (NS9/TE2).
This walk is led by the organizer on a purely voluntary basis. There is no event fee—just come with a positive attitude and comfortable walking shoes!

RUMBLE (APRIL SERIES)
Welcome back to Rumble. This month our focus is to help you climb stronger, descend safer, and move more confidently on hikes. We’ll keep our 4 core stations — feet and calves, engine, climbing strength, and downhill control — so you can actually feel progress over the weeks, not just get through a workout!
**Meeting Place:** as seen in the image (Right next to Old Hill Street Police Station; opposite Funan)
Accessible via different MRT lines and bus stops
3 min walk from Clarke Quay Stn Exit E
**Duration:** 1.5h
**Level:** Mixed Levels (but make sure you are physically well before attending)
**What to expect:**
1. Warm-up & dynamic stretching
2. Stamina, Stability and Single Leg strengthening exercises with Stairs/Steps :)
3\. Jogging/brisk\-walking between stations
**Items to bring/wear**
* comfortable sports attire and appropriate shoes
* (Arm-length) Towel and water bottle
* Most of us will be carrying our bags as part of hike training (you can choose to leave them in your car if you’re driving or bring a small bag)
Make sure you are able to run with your bag! (e.g. BACKPACK)
**Note:**
* In the event of wet weather, the event will be cancelled. However, if it is just a light drizzle, we may still proceed with caution or head to AU office for Signature Indoor Workout.
* If you will be late or unable to make it, please inform me in advance (WA +6597318648) or update your RSVP by 8 p.m. the night before so that I can inform the next person on the waitlist.
* We’re capping this at **20 pax per session** so it stays focused and manageable.
* Priority will go to 2026 AU trip participants and Elite AU club members. If there are slots left, it will be given to members of the publi.c If you’re on the waitlist, it may not move strictly in order as trip participants are prioritised.
We will start on time so come at least 5 minutes earlier!

**Session 1: Play & Connect to Develop Self-Esteem and Confidence, APRIL 4, 2026, 9:30 am to 12:30pm:**
Play is an important part of any caregivers tools’ box. It is what builds up connection and helps children to discover the world and get agood sense of their bodies and emotional selves.
The class is about building connection between helper and child while respecting a child's developmental needs and natural abilities while supporting a child's spirit and natural sense of exploration.
* The importance of free play
* How to communicate during play so the child will discover her /his strength and build resilience.
* How to play in a supportive and constructive way that will help a child to develop strong self-esteem and build confidence.
* What is important : communication, safety, different areas of development, games supporting sensory development
* How to combine work and play
**Session 2: Conscious Discipline, APRIL 11, 2026, 9:30 am to 12:30 pm:**
In this module your helper will learn how to stay connected and loving in more challenging situations, but also how to help your children follow necessary instructions, safety measures and guidelines. She will also learn how to communicate to and support your child through difficult emotional times, to pick up on distress and not confuse distress with being "naughty".
* The importance of conscious discipline
* How to support them when they are scared, angry, sad, etc.
* How to make them more cooperative
* Managing her own emotions
* Hands-on advice on tantrums and positive discipline and support during distress situations
* How to communicate with the parents to build trust.

A relaxed way to get out with the kids, hang out with other dads and grab coffee together.
Our next outing will be on Sunday 12th April at 9am round Robertson Quay area. (Exact meet up point will be shared by Monday 6 April)

Venue: Upper Thomson MRT (TE8) Exit 4
Our journey begins at Thomson MRT, leading us into the peaceful trails of MacRitchie Reservoir. For 11km, we walk through nature — reminding ourselves that Singapore’s greatest strength has always been community.
But the real purpose of the walk lies beyond the trail.
At Shunfu Food Centre, we will savour the old-school flavours that many seniors from Blk 170 Toa Payoh still remember and long for — simple dishes that carry memories of kampung days, hard work, and a lifetime of stories.
Through Pack2Treat, these meals become more than food. They become a small gesture of love for 80 elderly residents, while also supporting the hardworking older hawkers who keep these traditional tastes alive.
This walk also celebrates the generous spirit of the Live Share & Care community, whose quiet acts of giving make these meals possible.
From forest trail to hawker table, every step reminds us that kindness grows when people walk together.
Because sometimes the most meaningful journey is not the 11km we complete —
but the smiles we deliver at the end of the walk.
