ℹ️ The Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) is one of 46 nationally protected landscapes in the UK, having equal landscape status and protection to a national park. The hills stretch across a quarter of the county of Surrey, from the chalk North Downs that run from Farnham in the west above Guildford, Dorking and Reigate, to Oxted in the east. The hills embrace an amazing variety of countryside, from the rolling chalk downs of yew and box woodland and flower rich grasslands, to the acid heaths and woodland of the Greensand Hills that rise to form the highest point in south east England at Leith Hill

Sahaja Yoga is a unique form of meditation that will enable you to connect with your Inner Self, establishing a higher awareness within you resulting in a deep feeling of peace, calmness, balance, and joy.
It is a tangible practical **experience**: Sahaja Yoga is “Subtle, Simple and Real”.
It was founded by H.H. Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi ( 1923-2011) and has at its core the process of Self Realisation: connecting with your real Self through the awakening of the dormant energy in our sacrum bone called Kundalini who takes us into the deep peaceful state of thoughtless awareness.
In the class, we will go through the process of Self Realisation and learn how to achieve the state of meditation effortlessly. Also, we will learn about balancing our subtle system, diagnosing and solving our problems, and meditating at home.
Sahaja Yoga helps all aspects of our life: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual, it is an extraordinary method, unique from any other types of meditations as it uses our own energy Kundalini who can correct our chakras, balance us, and take us to a much higher and deeper state of awareness.
We do not need mats, we sit on chairs, it is easy and simple, Sahaja means spontaneous in Sanskrit, and it is for all cultures, ages, religions, and backgrounds.
There are free meetings all over London, the UK, and more than 100 countries.
If you are looking for well-being, harmony, and solving your problems, if you want to get out of confusion, and/or mental health problems, if you are looking for answers then you are in the right place.
Come along and try, no need to sign up, beginners are welcome anytime.
**“ Sahaja Yoga is a method by which our Pure Desire is fulfilled “ (from the founder Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi)**

Green Walk - Wanstead to Valentines Park & onto Barkingside + (optional) Pub
We'll be meeting outside Wanstead Station (11am) for a walk to Valentines Park and then onto The Fairlop Oak in Barkingside. Some will want to stay on for some well deserved (optional) food and/or drink, others may want to do a quick hop on the train back to the start point (or in any other direction).
Wanstead station is on the Central Line, as are Barkingside and Fairlop stations. We will pass Fairlop very close to the end of the walk.
We'll stop for a cuppa midway, and I estimate arriving at the Fairlop Oak around 3pm.
If you are driving to the meet point, there is a lot of parking round Wanstead on Saturdays, as many of the yellow lines do not apply. Read the plates on the lamp-posts to check what is only Mon-Fri.
The 66 bus runs from Romford station, up North St, and straight down the A12 (via Newbury Park, Gants Hill) to Wanstead.
Chadwell Heathers. Get a 62, 362, or 173 up to A12 for a 66 (or walk through if close enough).
The 145 bus goes from Dagenham via Barking and Ilford to Wanstead.
The 308 goes to your destination from Hackney & Stratford.
If you haven't already paid for December, I ask for a nominal contribution of £2 to help cover Meetup organiser fees. No shrapnel please.
RISK WARNING/DISCLAIMER: Please remember that as with any physical activity, there can be dangers associated with hiking/walking, especially around waterways, forests, farms and countryside. Your decision to voluntarily participate in this activity is an informed decision. and by attending this event you agree and accept to take sole responsibility for your own actions, your own safety, and your own belongings.
Please dress appropriately, including sturdy shoes. Please bring any necessary medication with you. You will need to be sufficiently fit to walk several miles at a moderate pace. We may occasionally cross or walk short distances on roads; country and woodland tracks can be muddy or slippery; animals may be encountered on occasion.
INSURANCE: If either yourself or any guests you bring along require insurance for this walk, then you must arrange this yourselves.
GUESTS: If you are bringing any guests along, there is no facility on the Meetup site to record their details. Please ensure that you make them fully aware of the Risk Warning/Disclaimer and Insurance statements.

Puppy Yoga:
In the first 3 months of a puppies life it is very important to expose your puppies to different people, new environments, sounds and smells. Puppy yoga is a safe and fun space that aids with our puppies socialisation.
When you cuddle a puppy, it has psychological benefits, increasing the happy hormones: oxytocin and serotonin to the brain and lowering cortisol levels (the negative hormone) similar to when you embrace a new-born baby for the first time. This in turn with the yoga, will leave you feeling physically , mentally and emotional balanced and fulfillled.
For health and safety reasons an Adult must attend and supervise the child. One adult per two children tickets purchased.
Tickets non-refundable but can be redeemed against any future puppy yoga event with BarePaws Yoga Ltd.
PREGNANCY yoga
To book:
https://www.barefootyogaandtherapy.com
What is pregnancy yoga? Pregnancy yoga is a form of gentle yoga that is designed to complement the growing needs of a pregnant body during all three trimesters. The focus is on restorative poses that keep you safe while practicing movement, stretching, deep breathing, and mental centering.
What are the benefits of prenatal yoga?
Improve sleep.
Reduce stress and anxiety.
Increase the strength, flexibility and endurance of muscles needed for childbirth.
Decrease lower back pain, nausea, headaches and shortness of breath.
Puppy cuddles yoga and playtime
Practise yoga while the cute puppies roam acround you…
A typical puppy yoga class will have approximately 8-10 puppies with around 15 participants and the puppies can range from 8-14 weeks old.
Puppy yoga classes involve having puppies roaming from one mat to the next, leaping on participants, and tussling with other puppies as you try out different yoga poses. Often pups are incorporated into some of the yoga poses or they happily roam free throughout class.
All puppies are borrowed from a local breeder and we find the breeders from websites such as Kennel Club or Pets4Homes. On some occasions, Puppy Yoga gives the puppies an opportunity to be adopted, if they haven’t already found their forever home. The puppies get the chance to be around other people (not just their breeder) which enhances their socialisation.
In the first 3 months of a puppies life it is very important to expose your puppies to different people, new environments, sounds and smells. Puppy yoga is a safe and fun space that aids with our puppies socialisation.
Interactions with animals, especially puppies, has been proven to be extremely beneficial to our mental wellbeing. The hormone oxytocin is released, in both dogs and people, when puppies interact with someone they like. This provides stress relieving physiological benefits.
