À propos de nous
A group of trail runners that are as serious about their trail running as the breakfast that follows. We enjoy diversity in our trails, restaurants, and running cohorts. Many runs are in the Boulder area; however we also look to get into the high country as much as possible. Runs are typically on Saturday mornings. The duration varies from about 2 hour to 4+ depending on location, group fitness, schedules, etc. Terrain can range from easy flat to steep technical. Pace can vary widely however we never let anyone forget why they joined a group.

Run Betasso Preserve
Betasso Preserve Trailhead, Betasso Rd, Boulder, CO, USFor this Saturday's run, we'll head up to Betasso Preserve, just up Boulder Canyon from town.
ROUTE
The route has many distance options with the shortest being 3 miles and the longest being 12 miles and 1800 ft. It's really a choose your preferred distance day. Plan around 3 hours for all 12 miles.Btw, if you are planning to do a short distance, please add a comment below to see if others may join you as a sub-group.
CARPOOL
Boulder Justice Center parking lot at 6th and Canyon in Boulder at 7:30a. We'll plan to get to the main trailhead and start the run around 7:45-8:00a.CONSIDERATIONS
Dogs are allowed on leash.I realize that after posting the Movie Premier and Social Gathering event, we proceeded to post several weeks of very large effort runs, so if that wasn't your thing and you haven't had a chance to join a run and would like to attend this social event, this run is a great one to join. It should be pretty chill, plus there are many distance options to choose. Also, next week's trail work event would be another great one.
Please indicate in the discussion section if you plan to meet us at the carpools spot or the trailhead.

- 7:15am - run about 9 miles
- 10am - breakfast at the trailhead
- 11am to 3:30pm - trail work with Boulder County
Join for one, two, or all three parts!
Part 1: Run! We will carpool from North Foothills Trailhead at 7am. Otherwise, meet at the Heil Valley Ranch Wapiti trailhead by 7:15am. Part 2: Breakfast! Around 10am we'll do trailhead breakfast. Fill out the breakfast signup sheet with what you're bringing to share.
Part 3: Trail work! At 11am we will join Boulder County Open Space and County Parks for trail work. This year's theme is lop it like it's hot - we'll be trimming up some vegetation to keep the trails tip top, and may even have the opportunity to do some rock work if we're well-behaved. See more details on the County's project page. Note that we will not be working near the trailhead, so plan to stay until 3:30pm.
Here's the packing list for trail work:
- Water bottle and water
- Sturdy shoes/boots
- Backpack (for carrying clothes/water)
- Pants (strongly recommended)
- Sunscreen
- Rain gear if necessary
- Snacks
There's a lot to keep track of, so here's your checklist:
- RSVP here on Meetup.
- Fill out the breakfast signup sheet with your meeting location and what you're bringing for breakfast.
- Register on the County project page to skip signing the waiver at the trailhead.
