Lunch at International Buddhist Temple
Détails
It's been many years since we visited The International Buddhist Temple, a magnificent complex modelled after the Forbidden City in China, widely regarded as the most exquisite example of Chinese imperial architecture in Canada.
We'll begin with a guided tour ($5) followed by a a vegan lunch ($25) and then a talk about Buddhism by a monastic from the temple named Sister Pala.
The lunch menu typically includes:
- Sichuan-style spicy tofu
- Sweet and sour vegetarian “meat”
- Fried vegetables
- Fried noodles
- Steamed or fried rice
To join us, e-transfer $30 to the address in the RSVP question after the event opens. I need to pay the temple a week before the tour.
