De quoi s'agit-il
Our vision is to create a network of outdoors enthusiasts to share our adventures, to learn from, to have fun with, and to create life long friends. We hike in the Santa Monica Mountains. This is a non profit organization and we will be donating back to the community by having beach cleanups. Our group is also committed to protecting the special places we hike. Our new conservation effort seeks to protect threatened areas in the local mountains through fun and easy actions we can take. Have fun Hiking and hope to see you soon!

-Description
SCENIC 5 mile hike with 650 feet of elevation gain along the well maintained shaded Burkhart trail to Beautiful Cooper Canyon Falls following a small stream with water in front of the falls to cool off. Easy hike from the east end of the Buckhorn Campground down to Little Rock Creek.
THERE ARE ROPES TO DESCEND TO THE CREEK. BE CAREFUL AS YOU MAY GET YOUR PANTS A LITTLE WET SLIDING DOWN THE ROPES NEAR THE WATER. HELP WILL BE PROVIDED.
SAFETY FIRST!!!-Where we meet
NEWCOMBS RANCH LOT AT 12:00 PM
(leave West Side by 10:30 AM)
MAP TO NEWCOMBS RANCH-At Newcombs we will create carpools which is essential.
LEAVE NEWCOMBS FOR BUCKHORN/BURKHART TRAIL AT 12:20 PM
Newcombs is currently closed but we can park in the lot.
From there we will caravan to the Buckhorn Campground entrance.
7.5 miles from Newcombs Ranch.

There is a map of the path through the campground to the trailhead in PHOTOS.
*** DO NOT go straight to the trailhead without the organizers.
-THEN WE HIKE!!!

-Optional change of shorts because your pants may get wet sliding down the ropes by the water. THERE'S A CLEAN REST ROOM IN THE LOT TO CHANGE AFTERWARDS.

-A big smile
-That camera thingy inside your phone thingy.
