I am looking for contractors in both the IA and Visual Designer arenas to work on upcoming media related projects for Fox Digital Media (FDM), a group works primarily with properties under the good ol Newsgroup umbrella. (Rupert-loves all, ya'll) The work ranges from flashy product-media sites to industry based initiatives (online video, regional sport networks, etc) to general work (CMS design, video player experiences, ad solutions, etc).

Clients include:
- Fox Broadcasting
   - American Idol
   - Fox.com (24, glee, house, fringe, etc)
- FX
- Fox Sports
- Speed
- National Geographic
- Regional Sports networks (FSN LA, Chicago, etc)
- Newscorp

I am looking for an interaction designer that can work on both large and small scale initiatives. i am looking for an individual who:

- Has full understanding of UI design; from high level concepts to detailing out and describing experience and flows
- Understands the design process; sketching is one of your primary tools of attack all the way to final detailed documentation
- Is an out of the box thinker who solves usability problems and challenges by communicating ideas, plans and initiatives
- Can create clear wire frames that make sense; explaining ideas and interactions on paper
- Understands details are important when creating a seamless user experience
- Has no problem with "busy work": creating detail documentation, working on requirements, etc.
- inDesign experience would be a dream come through
- Experience in media is a plus
- Can positively collaborate with different areas of a team (product management, project management, engineering, etc)

Visual Designer

Like the IA position, I am looking for visual designers that can work on both large and small scale initiatives. i am looking for an individual who:

- Can create visual work that is evocative, energetic and exciting
- Has an eye for subtleties and believes details do count when creating interfaces
- Is comfortable and has a passion for creating visuals for either flashy sites to application chrome design
- Can follow direction, create and/or visualize IA work; someone who can take "sexy wireframes" to the next level
- Has an understanding of how to create branded experiences, setting the tone and style guide for a specific product
- Has no problems with "busy work": detailing out visual use cases, creating style guides, creating support graphics, etc.
- Can deliver clean-ordered layered files to engineering team
- Can overview QA design reviews
- Experience in media is a +
- Can positively collaborate with different areas of a team (product management, project management, engineering, etc)

General qualifications for either position:

- Must be able to be dedicate proper time to projects (M-F, regular work hours)
- Must be eligible to work as a contractor in the US
- Must have experience in the fields described
- Requires little assistance (no baby sitting)
- Must be organized work and deliverable wise
- Must be able to follow directions
- Must easy going with a positive working attitude
- Prima-donna complexes will not be accepted
