The Angelo Gherardi Refuge, located in the beautiful and sunny Taleggio Valley, is surrounded by an almost paradise-like landscape.
It is impossible not to be impressed: the mountain hut is nestled in a vast, green plateau. You can enjoy a break at one of the picnic tables, relax on the grassy meadows, read a book, or simply take in the breathtaking views stretching all the way to the Piani di Artavaggio and the mountains around Lecco.

PROGRAMMA
11:00 AM – Meeting point at Capo Foppa car park, Via Arighiglio, 24010 Taleggio (BG)
11:15 AM – Departure and start of the hike
Around 12:45 PM – Arrival at Gherardi Refuge, free time and lunch (packed lunch or independently arranged at one of the local establishments)
Around 2:30–3:00 PM – Return journey

Medium Level – About 1h 30min and approx. 4 km per leg, 370 m elevation gain.
No special equipment or clothing required. Always bring food and water “to keep you going”.
Trekking shoes recommended.

One of the most beautiful places in Italy, voted a “Place of the Heart” by FAI (the Italian National Trust), is the jewel of the Intelvi Valley.
On clear days, from Sighignola you can enjoy a spectacular panorama, especially looking west, where the view stretches from nearby Lake Ceresio all the way to the Alps. The highest peak visible is Monte Rosa, while the Matterhorn can also be glimpsed.
This natural area on the border with Switzerland is known as the “Balcony of Italy” thanks to the breathtaking views it offers.
A splendid panoramic viewpoint, a natural terrace literally nestled among the rocks, offering a truly unique view.

Lungo la cresta Ovest del Monte Legnone spunta una piccola elevazione di 1715 metri che prende il nome di Monte Legnoncino.
Una vetta capace di offrire agli escursionisti una piacevole e tranquilla passeggiata con panorami che lasciano letteralmente “a bocca aperta”. La sua conformazione, praticamente a picco sul lago di Como, crea di fatto un vero e proprio balcone naturale che garantisce un panorama che non ha nulla da invidiare a quello offerto dal vicino “fratello maggiore” Legnone.

Ore 11.00 Partenza per percorso
Ore 12.45 circa arrivo al alla vetta del Legnoncino, tempo libero e Pranzo (al sacco o organizzandosi in maniera autonoma presso Strutture del posto)
Ore 15 circa rientro

Livello Medio – 4 km e 1.40 h circa di camminata a tratta, 470 mt di dislivello, non necessita di attrezzature o abbigliamento particolari, portarsi sempre cibo e acqua “tappafame”, scarpe trekking.
