Green Lake is one of the most popular destinations for urban runnings in the Seattle area. The Seattle Green Lake Running Group was created with the intent of creating a running community that supports and encourages a healthy and active lifestyle through group events and participation. Our goal is to try and have something for everyone and the more runners that attend events the better chance that there will be running buddies for all. Whether you're looking to increase your cardiovascular endurance, meet some new exercise buddies or have training partners for your next race you've come to the right place.

Runner's etiquette
Our goal is to not bombard pathways, trails, sidewalks and streets, so please follow traffic laws at all times and be aware of those around you on foot, bicycles, and automobiles. Staying to the right will allow room for others to pass uninhibited on the left. When passing others please consider going single file in order to allow for greater spacing as you pass.
Respect
During our events, please keep in mind that we are all coming from different places from different ways. Be respectful with your language and conversational topics. Running is a safe topic and a good building block to get to know others better. We want our events to be a safe place in which our members don’t feel threatened, harassed, or experience unwelcomed advances. Running is a great way to get to know others and it has helped us build a great community within SGLRG. We all make a difference in our fellow SGLRG member's experience.
If at any point you have questions/concerns regarding the group, our events, upcoming trainings, races, ideas, incidents, etc...please reach out to our event hosts or group organizers.
Thank you for being a part of the Seattle Green Lake Running Group!
