🌸 Chaque mardi, nous organisons une soirée durant laquelle nous pratiquons la méditation nommée Shamatha-Vipashyana, que beaucoup connaissent aujourd’hui sous le nom de Mindfulness. Fournisseur de nombreux tailleurs et maisons de couture, la maison est aujourd’hui portée par Virgil Viret, qui perpétue cet héritage tout en développant une vision très contemporaine du tissu et du sur-mesure. Join us for a long pose workshop with a female model, led by figurative artist John Kelly. The session consists of 45 minutes of drawing or painting, followed by a 15-minute break, and then another 45 minutes with the same pose. John will be present throughout the entire session to offer individual guidance on the principles of drawing and painting from life. If you prefer a more self-directed approach, you are welcome to work independently at any time. The workshop is suitable for both beginners and more experienced artists. It offers a supportive environment to develop your artistic style while exploring different aspects of academic drawing or painting, experimenting with new techniques, or refining compositional ideas. It's designed to guide your exploration of the human form through an anatomical lens while capturing the model's emotional presence. As always, posing for you are professional fine art models affiliated with the Beaux-Arts de Paris and other Parisian life drawing ateliers. Please bring your preferred art materials. En avril, le sujet sera la spontanéïté et l'expressivité du dessin! Seront privilégiés les dessins à l'encre (feutres, grands ou petits). Ce deuxième cours portera sur la captation de la dynamique des poses, les méthodologies qui peuvent le permettre, et leur restitution! On se retrouve à 19h30, mais qui veut peut arriver au local à partir de 19h pour grignoter, discuter! Il y aura du thé et du café pour qui veut, il faut retirer ses chaussures car c'est une salle de danse (donc les bottes à lacets attendront une autre soirée). Paiement en espèces (25€), sur place, et il y aura un chapeau pour qui veut donner un peu plus au modèle! Le matériel n'est pas fourni. Hâte de vous y voir! 🙂

This month we will be discussing **Frank Santoro**, an American cartoonist, painter, and comics critic known for his expressive lines, experimental page layouts, and vibrant use of color. His graphic novels—including *Storeyville*, *Pompeii*, and *Pittsburgh*—blend personal storytelling with innovative visual structure, often exploring memory, place, and relationships. In addition to his comics, Santoro has been an influential voice in comics education and criticism, co-founding the magazine *ComicsComics* and creating the **Santoro Correspondence Course for Comic Book Makers**, which has helped train and inspire a new generation of cartoonists. Afterwards, we will have time to work on our individual art projects, hang out, and if anyone is interested in feedback on their work, there will be time for that as well.
