Es gibt inzwischen mehrere Java-native Ansätze für Web-UIs — ihr kennt vermutlich einige davon aus früheren Meetups. Die meisten setzen voraus, dass ihr eure UI von Grund auf neu schreibt und bestehenden Code hinter REST-APIs kapselt. Unser Ansatz ist ein anderer: Wir zeigen einen **zweistufigen Migrationspfad**, der mit der unveränderten Bestandsanwendung im Browser startet und die Modernisierung dann Bildschirm für Bildschirm vorantreibt — ohne den Betrieb zu unterbrechen und ohne eine zweite Technologie einzuführen. Im ersten Schritt kommt **Webswing** zum Einsatz — eine Laufzeitumgebung, die Java-Desktop-Anwendungen (Swing, JavaFX, SWT, Eclipse RCP) unverändert im Browser bereitstellt, indem sie auf Toolkit-Ebene in die AWT-Pipeline eingreift und das Rendering über HTML5 Canvas und WebSocket an den Client streamt. Und dich dabei noch gut unterhalten, so dass die Zeit verfliegt? Dann bist du hier genau richtig, denn mir geht es genauso. Alleine ist langweilig und die Zeit vergeht nicht, daher hab ich mir Walk & Talk überlegt. Inspiriert wurde ich durch die Walk & Talk Gruppe in Hamburg, wo ich mehrere Male dabei war als ich in Hamburg lebte. Unterschiedliche Menschen treffen sich einmal in der Woche für einen flotten Spaziergang und unterhalten sich dabei. Ich liebe es neue Menschen kennenzulernen und auch bekannte Gesichter wiederzusehen, dann geh ich ganz nebenbei und das macht auch noch Spaß.😊 **Walk:** Wir brauchen einfach regelmäßige Bewegung und ich weiß selbst, wie schwierig es ist, diese in den Alltag zu integrieren. Deshalb ist dieser Walk genau richtig. Nach diesem Spaziergang fühlst du dich einfach wohl, fit und entspannt. **Talk:** Das Reden kommt ganz von selbst beim Gehen. Du kannst über alles reden, egal, ob privates oder berufliches, alles was sich ergibt ist willkommen. Shot over two periods five years apart, the film returns to its protagonist, tracing what has changed and what remains unresolved. Through its long-term engagement, Stateless explores statelessness, the right of return, occupation, and the meaning of home under conditions of permanent uncertainty. .  Mohammad Abou Chucker is a Palestinian-Syrian photographer and filmmaker working at the intersection of migration, identity, home and art based practices. Drawing on his own experience of displacement, his work centres storytelling with and about refugee and marginalized communities through visual media, participatory methods, and human rights informed approaches.

WordCamp Vienna is the largest WordCamp in Central Europe and will take place for the 10th time on April 10 and 11, 2026, at the Old General Hospital (Altes AKH), the campus of the University of Vienna. We expect more than 350 WordPress enthusiasts from Austria and abroad. On Friday, April 10, we will kick things off in the afternoon with 6 workshops for beginners, intermediate users, and developers — as well as a session designed to encourage exchange within the Austrian WordPress community. Saturday, April 11, is our main conference day with three established tracks and a total of 21 WordPress talks — in German, English, as well as a dedicated developer track.
