I love Austin, but I need some f*****g friends!

Six Flags Fiesta Texas’ annual multi-day enthusiast event, Roller Coaster Rodeo, returns June 5 to 7, 2026. Attendees are treated to behind-the-scenes tours, full-park exclusive ride time, meals and other exclusive surprises.

Tickets are about $85 on top of regular park admission, but it’s worth it! They open the park just for attendees an hour early, and the park stays open an extra 2-3 hours after regular closing, with basically no lines at all.
There are maybe 4-500 people in the entire park outside of the staff, and every ride is open, at least at night.

Food and drinks throughout the day are included, including snacks and beer/cocktails at night. VIP Parking is included. And you get a lanyard that works as a fast lane pass, aka skip the line, that you can use for the entire day. That alone is usually worth about 100$.
Also every year in the past we’ve had free access to the attached water park, which definitely helps with the heat.
It is technically a 3 day event, but I usually just go on the Saturday.

I know June is not the most ideal time to go to an amusement park for most people, so I get if there isn’t much interest, but the value for what you get is amazing! It’s an all day event, but a lot of people just go to the later/night part due to the heat, and even with that you definitely get your moneys worth!
And apart from the weather it’s literally the best day you could ever have at Six Flags.

I’m in Austin, so I usually stay at the Holiday Inn across the street from six flags. I get there in the morning, when I get tired I leave to check into the motel and take a nap, then I come back for dinner and the rest of the night.
The parks regular closing time in 9, but it’ll be open til at least 11 or 12 for attendees, which is usually the best part of the entire event.

I will post the official schedule/info when it comes out, because the event still isn’t til June, but it’s pretty similar every year so far. This will be my 3rd year, and I keep coming back and having a great time, despite the oppressive heat, lol. At least there are water slides!

Casual open play pickleball for all levels, including beginners.

Equipment: You will need to purchase a paddle, or you can rent one from the front desk. We play with “outdoor” balls. Usually our group has some but it’s a good idea to bring them just in case. I highly recommend wearing a good quality court shoe and comfortable athletic wear.

Cost is $12 per person ($10.80 for Apex members).

Apex is an indoor facility with a pro shop and restaurant/bar on site. You do not need to be a member to play.
