February 22 is Cat Day in Japan 🐱
To celebrate, we’re hosting a “Cat Spot Walking Tour” around Yanaka, Tokyo’s famous cat neighborhood.
We’ll stroll from Yanaka Ginza to the Yushima area, slowly exploring:

• Cats relaxing in small alleys
• Cat-themed signs, statues, and shops
• Places connected to cats and local culture

This is a relaxed, early-start & early-finish walk, perfect for enjoying Cat Day without big crowds.

Walking from Yanaka Ginza, known as a “cat sanctuary,” to Yushima, an area with shrines, history, and hidden cat spots, makes this a perfect downtown stroll for cat lovers—especially on Cat Day.

### 🐱 Yanaka Ginza Shopping Street

• Yuyake Dandan (Sunset Stairs): A famous spot where you might meet real cats
• Seven Lucky Cats statues: Wooden cat sculptures hidden around the street

猫の街・谷中を中心にした「猫探し街歩き」を開催します。

谷中銀座から湯島エリアまで、
路地にいる猫、猫モチーフの看板や置物、
猫にゆかりのあるスポットを探しながら、
猫の日を前祝いする気分でのんびり歩くイベントです。

「猫の日にちなんだ何かをしたい」
「混雑を避けてゆっくり楽しみたい」
そんな方にもぴったりの開催・早め解散プランです。

2月22日の「猫の日」に、猫の聖地として知られる谷中銀座から、学問の神様や猫スポットも点在する湯島までの「下町ゆる散歩」は、猫好きにはたまらない素敵なルートですね。

このエリアを散歩する際にぜひチェックしたい、猫にまつわるおすすめスポットをご紹介します。

🐾 谷中銀座から湯島への「猫探し」散歩ルート案
1. 谷中銀座商店街（スタート）

夕やけだんだん： 運が良いと本物の猫に出会える有名な階段です。

七福猫（木彫りの像）： 商店街のあちこちに隠れている、彫刻家・大久保亜夜子さん作の木彫り猫を探してみてください。

邪悪なハンコ屋 しにものぐるい： 猫のデザインが豊富なハンコ屋さん。

2. 谷中霊園周辺

静かな環境で、地域猫たちがのんびり日向ぼっこをしている姿をよく見かけます（※静かに見守りましょう）。

3. 三崎坂（さんさきざか）〜根津

猫をモチーフにしたギャラリーや雑貨店が点在しています。

4. 湯島エリア（ゴール）

王冠印雑貨店： 湯島にある「猫雑貨」のセレクトショップ。猫好きにはたまらないアイテムが揃っています。

湯島天神： 境内周辺や路地裏でも、時折猫の姿を見かけることがあります。
