The MAIN PURPOSE, GOAL, IDEA, & sole OBJECTIVE of this groups I want to start: bringing together LI'ers of ITALIAN descent & ANCESTRY: this will BE about us & OUR celebrating "Italy on Long Island" life- let's do "la vita bella" - (1st, 2nd generation) and gather, get to know one another, NOT just writing on FBook, but Unite & come together :-) as one BIG happy famiglia! We meet (GREET & EAT) at Italian restaurants/pizza (brick oven, gelato, cafe, espresso, etc. and act like PAISANI!- throughout Nassau (& Suffolk if feasible) weekends mostly. If you have a fave Italian place, let ME know as I'm sure there are Italian restaurants all over Long Isl! I'm going to give this a trial- -if my idea WORKS out, if YOU like what this is about & AGREE! (with what you're reading) just join and we can have good times together!. I know you're out there! Last year was tough, let's RISE & celebrate OUR heritage, culture, history and LOVE of food- time to mangia together! Perhaps go to EATALY on Friday night - if you're in NYC- Arthur Ave on weekend to shop & eat, winery/vineyard for vino east end (perhaps even trip to HValley), LIL' Italy..,.,. there's NO limit what can be done. So if you fellow ITALIANS out there on LI think this is great idea, let's get together & UNITE- become AMICI! I will adjust this time to time- as I feel a NEED to.,.,., Grazie. :-).
