Making Programming Globally Accessible

詳細

Like nearly all of our events, this one is FREE.

Summary:
There have been many programming languages written in non-English languages, but very few have reached lasting popularity, even in their own locales. The list of industry-standard languages is still dominated by English-centric languages. Why is this? Are there any solutions to get around these problems?

In this talk I'll introduce Crayon as a language, go over a little bit about how programming languages work at a high level, and talk about my progress and proposed solutions to localizing a programming language effectively.

Note: most of this talk will be technical.

Bring a laptop if you would like, but it is not required.
