近年、日本で「スキマバイト（スポットワーク）」が爆発的に普及しています。その中心にいるのが、スキマバイトアプリ「タイミー」です。一つの会社に縛られず、「働きたい時に、働きたい場所で、数時間だけ働く」というスタイルは、面倒な人間関係を避けたい現代人にとって非常に合理的で自由な選択肢となっています。
しかし、この変化は従来の日本型雇用や社会構造に大きな問いを投げかけています。これまで日本が誇ってきた「職人気質」や細やかな「サービスの質（おもてなし）」は、終身雇用や組織への強い「帰属意識」、長期的な人間関係の中で育てられてきた面があるからです。
