Black Lives Matter Tokyo, PEACEFUL March

I put PEACEFUL in all caps to emphasize, this isn't a demonstration, it's not a protest, and it's certainly not going to be a riot.

This is a peaceful march in solidarity with what's happening in the US.

THINGS TO NOTE

• Wear a mask and socially distance yourself from others.
• Do not attend if you are sick.
• If you join this march, consider quarantining yourself for 14 days AFTER.
• Remain peaceful, it is a PEACEFUL march.
• Do not instigate or interact with instigators.
• Do not litter, stay clean.
• Report anyone suspicious to staff (who will have arm bands)
• The route will pass Hachiko and instigators may attempt to interact with you, IGNORE THEM.
• The route is a one hour course along the main areas of Harajuku and Shibuya. Near Yoyogi event area-> Shibuya ->Harajuku ->back to Yoyogi event area
• Be careful of the signs you use/carry; suggested signs will be shared. Print them at your own cost.
• There WILL be media, if you are worried about your privacy please take necessary steps to protect your identity.
• Do not take photos of peoples face without permission.

Who’d like to volunteer to help us organizers march day?
マーチ当日のボランティアを募集しています

There will be a lot of people and only a few of us organizers, so we’d appreciate some help from people who are willing to show up a little earlier (14:20) and help make sure everything during the march stays on track.

たくさんの参加者に対し主催者チームの人数が少ないので、マーチ当日の14時20分に私たち主催者チームと合流し、マーチがスムーズに行われる様サポートをしてくれる人を募集してます。

We’re looking for people who’d like to:
活動内容

1. Help us guide attendees, and be someone that basic questions (where should I go, where is the medic, which way are we going, etc) can be directed towards. We’ll also be asking these volunteers to check signs and make sure nothing inappropriate is being displayed.

参加者のガイドや案内をして、参加者からの質問などに答える。このボランティアチームの方には参加者のサインの内容確認もしてもらいます。

2. We are also looking for some people to act as our security. A group of people who can keep an eye on activity in the march, and ask any troublemakers to leave or report unlawful activity to the assisting officers.

マーチ中の警備と周辺管理をする。もしマーチ中に不法行為や攻撃的な行動をとる人がいたら警官または主催者チームに報告してもらいます。
