Let's join Mitarashi Festival, a foot-soaking ritual at Shimogamo Jinja Shrine.
Walk barefoot through the Mitarashi River that flows through the grounds of the shrine, a World Heritage Site, and offer lanterns.
This is an area that is normally off-limits, and has a sacred atmosphere.

After the festival, enjoy a language exchange by walking through the Kamogawa Delta and Masugata Shopping Arcade, a shopping street rooted in the local community.

*A 500 yen fee is required for the lanterns at Shimogamo Shrine. Please bring a towel to dry your feet.

下鴨神社の足つけ神事「みたらし祭」へ行きませんか？
世界遺産である神社境内を流れる御手洗川の中を素足で進み、献灯します。
普段は入ることができないエリアで、神聖な雰囲気です。
お祭りの後は、「鴨川デルタ」や地域に根差した商店街「桝形商店街」を歩き、ランゲージエクスチェンジしましょう。

※下鴨神社での御灯明料５００円が必要です。足を拭くためのタオルをご持参ください。
