Let's go to Osaka to see the Tenjin Festival!
It is one of Japan's three great festivals, alongside Kyoto's Gion Festival and Tokyo's Kanda Festival.
Let's enjoy a language exchange amidst the beautiful scenery as twilight transitions into the evening darkness.

This day marks the grand finale of a festival that has lasted for a month. Highlights include the *funatogyo*—a procession in which a portable shrine is transported across the river by boat—and a spectacular display of 3,000 fireworks launched over the water amidst a flotilla of 100 vessels.

The Tenjin Festival, the festival of Osaka Tenmangu Shrine, has a history spanning nearly 1,100 years, dating back to the 10th century when the shrine was first built. Osaka Tenmangu itself originated from Taishogun-sha Shrine, a shrine dedicated to the guardian deity of the Naniwa Palace.
Naniwa Palace (in Osaka) was an ancient capital that predated Heian-kyo (in Kyoto) and Heijo-kyo (in Nara); the palace is said to have been completed in 652.
Come and enjoy a festival that truly embodies the spirit of the "City of Water."

Since we watch Aerial fireworks, we come back late. If you choose to disperse at the site, the firework event will conclude at 20:50.
We expect to return to Demachiyanagi Station between 22:30 and 23:00.
As it is expected to be very hot, please ensure you stay well-hydrated and bring a light snack. It might be also good to buy some bread at the bakery of Demachiyanagi Station.
It will be crowded, so it would be difficult to find each other again if we get separated. I will share my contact details at the start of the event, but in principle, everyone is free to leave on their own.

京都の祇園祭、東京の神田祭と並ぶ日本三大祭の一つです。
黄昏から夕闇へと移る美しい景色の中、ランゲージエクスチェンジをしましょう。

この日は１カ月間続いた祭の最終日。神輿が船で川を渡る船渡御や、100隻の船が行き交う上に打ち上げられる3000発の花火は盛大なフィナーレです。

大阪天満宮の祭りである天神祭は、ここにその建物が建った10世紀から1100年近く続く祭りです。その大阪天満宮の起源は難波宮の守護神大将軍社です。
難波宮(大阪)は平安京(京都)・平城京(奈良)以前の古代の首都で、652年に宮が完成したと言われています。
水の都ならではの祭りを楽しみましょう。

打ち上げ花火を見るので、帰りは遅くなります。
現地で解散する場合、花火終了は20:50です。
出町柳駅へ戻るのは、22:30～23:00ごろになります。
暑くなることが予想されますので、充分な水分補給をし、軽食をお持ちください。出町柳駅のパン屋でパンを買っておくのもいいと思います。
人出が多く、一度はぐれると再会が困難です。イベント開始時に私の連絡先をお伝えしますが、基本的には自由解散とします。
