Let's take a walk through Uji during the autumn foliage.
We will visit two World Heritage Sites, the majestic Uji River, a temple where the autumn leaves are at their peak, an anime mecca overlooking Uji, and a bakery that uses plenty of Uji tea.
Destinations
Byodo-in Temple...A Heian-era building built in the 11th century. A World Heritage Site and National Treasure, it is also featured on the 10-yen coin.
Kosho-ji Temple...Currently in the peak of autumn foliage. The hallway features a blood-soaked ceiling from Fushimi Castle.
Ujikami Shrine...Japan's oldest shrine building. A National Treasure and World Heritage Site.
Daikichiyama Observatory...A mere 15-minute climb offers views of Uji. The setting for Kyoto Animation's masterpiece "Sound! Euphonium."

興聖寺…今が紅葉最盛期。廊下には伏見城から来た血天井
宇治上神社…日本最古の神社建築。国宝・世界遺産
大吉山展望台…わずか１５分の登りで宇治を展望。京都アニメーションの傑作「響け！ユーフォニアム」の舞台
