Destinations

Konkai-Komyoji Temple... Built in the 12th century. Visit the Goko-Shii Amida Buddha, affectionately known as the "Afro Buddha," and the cemetery of Aizu samurai who fought in the Meiji Restoration.

Shin'nyo-do Temple... Built in the 10th century. See the beautiful three-story pagoda and the Nirvana painting in the main hall. Every year, at this time only, a magnificent and gigantic Nirvana painting is unveiled to commemorate the passing of Buddha.
