Guided Japanese Conversation is a small conversation group in Osaka for anyone who wants to speak Japanese and connect with people.

If fewer than 2 people have signed up by the booking deadline, the event will be cancelled and all payments will be refunded.

All levels are welcome, from complete beginners to advanced speakers. You don't need to be studying Japanese formally — visitors and travelers are welcome too.

If you want to say something but don't know how to say it in Japanese, you can explain what you mean to me in English. I've trained in Japanese-English interpreting, so I can help you find a natural Japanese phrase to express what you want to say.

The conversation itself will be in Japanese — I won't translate the whole conversation into English.

This is a space where you can:
• Have real conversations in Japanese
• Meet and connect with people through Japanese
• Share your thoughts and hear different perspectives
• Discover new words and natural ways to express yourself
• Practice speaking in a relaxed, supportive setting

I'm Meg, a native Japanese speaker and professional Japanese teacher with over 5,000 lessons taught. I'll facilitate the conversation, make sure everyone has a chance to speak, and help with Japanese when needed.

This is not a traditional Japanese class. There are no textbooks, grammar exercises, or lesson plans.

It's also not a language exchange. Native Japanese speakers do not join as participants.

The focus is on using Japanese to communicate with real people, make connections, and have meaningful conversations.

No preparation is needed. Just come as you are and join the conversation.

Cancellation Policy
• If you cancel your booking or do not attend, the ¥100 fee is non-refundable.
• If the event is cancelled by the organizer because the minimum number of participants is not reached, you will receive a full refund.
