グループの特徴

JIGG stands for 'Japan International Gamers Guild'. JIGG has chapters in three main areas of Japan. JIGG Kanto (Tokyo and its surrounds), JIGG Tokai (Nagoya) and this group JIGG Kansai (Osaka and its surrounds). To find out more about JIGG Tokai or JIGG Kanto please go here.

We are the largest international tabletop gaming group in Japan established in 1992 (2007 in Osaka) with hundreds of active members playing table top games on a weekly basis across our different chapters.

This meetup is for the Kansai area (Osaka, Kobe, and Kyoto) with game days held once a month in each area. We welcome new players of any level of experience to join us. Spouses and families are welcome as well. While we encourage new members from all nationalities we do not focus on international exchange or 'pub' style gaming. If you live in the Kansai region and are interested in playing board games you have come to the right place! If you're just visiting the area for a vacation and you have some time to play board games, just post here and you'll be sure to find someone to join you for a few games.

**What do we play?

**We collectively have over 2000 games in our library and all types of games are played: board games, card games, miniatures and RPGs, but primarily we focus on board games.

■JIGG Kansaiとは 　JIGG Kansaiはジッグカンサイと読みます。JIGGはジャパンインターナショナルゲーマーズギルドの略です。 　ジッグは日本在住の英語ネイティブによって作られたゲームクラブです。ボードゲームを主に、カードゲームやＴＲＰＧも遊ぶことがあります。大阪、京都、神戸でそれぞれ月に一回ゲームデーを開き、それ以外にもカードゲームの集いを開いたりしています。 （！）ジッグはボードゲームで遊ぶことそれ自体を目的としたグループです。ゲームを通して国際交流、ではないのでご注意下さい。

■ジッグで遊ばれるゲーム 　ゲームクラブにもいろんなタイプがありますが、ジッグは結構本気のゲームを遊ぶクラブです。具体的には、ルールが沢山あって２時間かかるようなボードゲームをよく遊びます。遊ばれるゲームの傾向としては、日本で主流のユーロ系の他に、アメリカ系の、カードテキストが多かったりミニチュアが沢山入っていたりするゲームも多く遊ばれています。もちろんそれらの合間にはよりシンプルなゲームも遊んでいます。

■ジッグでの英語 　ジッグでの会話は基本的に英会話ですが、英語がペラペラである必要はありません。目安として、もしあなたがボードゲームの初心者なら、一人旅で海外旅行ができるくらいの英語力があれば十分だと思って下さい。あるいは、あなたがボードゲームに詳しい人で、例えばワーカープレイスメントといわれて何のことかわかるなら、その知識と中学校レベルの英語が使いこなせればなんとかなるでしょう。

■イベントへの参加について 　ジッグのゲームデーは朝から晩までやっていますが、好きな時間に来て好きな時間に帰ってもらえばよいです。事前の参加表明なしでいきなり来てもＯＫです。参加料金は多くの場合５００円で、これは会場を借りる費用になっています。子供連れも歓迎です。赤ちゃんが泣いても大丈夫です
