Weekend Retreat: The Perfection of Wisdom
Kadampa Meditation Center Boston, 2298 Massachusetts Ave, Cambridge, MA, USCompassion and wisdom are often described as the two wings of a bird that carry us to the inner destination of enlightenment. With compassion as our foundation, this three-day retreat will focus on Buddha’s profound teachings on the wisdom realizing emptiness.
Emptiness refers to the way things actually exist, as opposed to how they appear to us now. We get stuck in suffering because we misunderstand this. At the moment, we develop strong attachment to things we find attractive and strong aversion to things we find unattractive, not realizing that these qualities arise from our own perception rather than from the objects themselves.
Even a small glimpse of this wisdom can transform how we relate to everything within and around us. We can live our lives a bit more lightly and joyfully, and naturally bring a bit more peace into our world.
You can register for just a day, two days or for the entire retreat.
Session times: 11:00am-12:15pm | 1:30-2:30pm | 3:00-4:00pm
Location: This event will be held at Kadampa Meditation Center Boston, located at 2298 Massachusetts Ave. in Cambridge, just a few blocks from the Davis Square T stop. There is free parking available.
