Enjoy new year hiking with three Instaworthy spots in Kyoto ! Firstly, explore the cinematic adventure like a movie, “Stand by Me” on the abandoned line, Keage incline ! Secondly, the nostalgic world at Nanzenji Suirokaku is waiting for you ! It’s sure that you can take a lot of instaworthy photos there ! Lastly, the panoramic scenery that can look around a whole of Kyoto on the summit of Mt. Daimonjiyama (height = 465m) will definitely fascinate you ! Especially, it’s sure that the huge logo of Mt. Daimonjiyama will excite you ! On lunch time, let’s savor authentic Kyoto food at the popular Japanese restaurant for affordable price ! Although the walking distance is slightly long, it’s not worth worrying to join this event even if you don’t get use to hike because there are not complicated mountain trails in Mt. Daimonjiyama ! Let’s enjoy winter hiking in Kyoto together !

17th Jan. 2026 (Sat.)

〇 Meeting place and meeting time
In front of “East ticket gate” of Hankyu railway, Kyoto-Kawaramachi station at AM10:30.
※ Pay attention that we would never wait for you and go ahead if you’d be late !

〇 Overall schedule
• 10:30 : Leave from Hankyu railway Kyoto-Kawaramachi station ! Move to the location for lunch through Yasaka shrine and Shirakawa Ipponbashi ! (1.5km)
•11:30 : Arrive at the very popular restaurant, “Asuka” ! Enjoy Kyoto food included Tenpura, Yudofu, Yuba and etc. for affordable price ! (¥850〜¥1,600)

•13:00: Leave from Asuka and move to Keage incline ! (900m)
•11:30 : Arrive at Keage incline ! Enjoy the vibe like a movie, “Stand by me” walking on the ruins of the railway !
•13:45 : Arrive at Nanzenji Suirokaku ! Let’s take a lot of instaworthy photos there !
•14:30 : Leave from Nanzenji, Suirokaku ! Go up to the summit of Mt.Daimonji !
•15:30 : Arrive at the summit of Mt.Daimonji ! (465m) ! Take a rest there while seeing the amazing scenery !
•16:00 : Go down from Mt.Daimonji !
•17:00 : Arrive at Miyageya street ! Move to Demachiyanagi station as we enjoy shopping ! (2.3km)
• 17:30 : Arrive at Keihan railway Demachiyanagi station and dismiss there !

※ Your transportation expenses, lunch fee should be prepared by yourself.

〇 Condition of cancelation
• If weather forecast of the previous day says that the probability of the rain is 50% over.

• If there are 3 participants or under as of PM11:30 on the previous day.
※ Notification of cancelation will be informed on this Meetup site by AM8:00 on the event day.

京都の3つのインスタ映えスポットで新年のハイキングを楽しみましょう！先ずは、廃線になった蹴上インクラインで映画、”スタンド・バイ・ミー”さながらの冒険をご体験！次に南禅寺、水路閣ではノスタルジックな世界がお待ちかね！インスタ映えする写真を沢山お撮り頂けること間違い無し！最後に標高465mの大文字山の山頂から京都を一望できるパノラマビューには絶対に魅了されることでしょう！特に、大文字山の巨大なシンボルマークロゴマークはワクワクさせること間違いありません！ランチタイムは人気の和食レストランで、お手頃価格で本格京料理を堪能しましょう！歩く距離は少し長めですが、大文字山には複雑な登山道はありませんので、ハイキングに慣れていない方でも安心してご参加頂けます！一緒に京都でのウィンターハイキングを楽しみましょう！

阪急電車、京都河原町駅構内、”東改札口”前にAM10:00集合！
※ 集合時間に遅れた場合、お待ちすることは無く、先に行かせて頂きますのでご注意願います！

〇 概略スケジュール
•10:30 : 阪急電車 京都河原町駅を出発！八坂神社、白川一本橋を経由して昼食場所に移動！(1.5km)
•11:30 : 人気の和食レストラン、”御食事処 明日香”で昼食！リーズナブルな価格で天ぷらや京風湯豆腐、ゆば等の京風料理お楽しみ下さい！(850〜1,600円)

•13:45 : 南禅寺 水路閣に到着。インスタ映えする写真を沢山撮りましょう！
•14:30 : 南禅寺 水路閣を出発！大門字山の山頂へ！
•15:30 : 大門字山の山頂に到着(465m)！絶景を見ながら休憩！
•16:00: 大門字山を下山！
•17:00: 銀閣寺前にの土産屋通りに到着！買い物を楽しみながら出町柳駅へ！(2.3km)
•17:30: 京阪電車 出町柳駅に到着！そこで解散！

・前日の天気予報の降水確率が50％以上の場合。
・前日のPM11:30時点で参加者が3名以下の場合。
