Free Live Webinar: How To Overcome 5 Types Of Childhood Trauma With Jess X Goh

Does unresolved childhood trauma dictate the way you live your life?

Do you find yourself struggling to find who you are in this world and form meaningful and genuine connections with the right people?

Are you still reliving your past in the present moment?

Trauma is the imprint of our conditioning and when we don't address it to its core, we find ourselves thinking, feeling and acting from a place of trauma and pain. Until we focus on healing the root cause of trauma, not the symptoms that are being expressed from it such as depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, nightmares, suicidal thoughts, addictions, toxic relationships, workaholic and so forth, it is then, you and I can move forward without the emotional baggage anymore.

Learn from a trauma coach trained in 14 healing techniques with real life experiences of overcoming abuse and delivering breakthrough results for burnt out heart-centered professionals from domestic violence, sexual abuse, dysfunctional family dynamics, ancestral trauma and ritual abuse.

REGISTER HERE - Please note on the Zoom registration page it says 9pm Sydney, Australia time which is 7pm Japan time as Jess is currently based in Sydney. Once you have registered through Zoom, you will receive a confirmation email with all the event details including the Zoom link.

"I entered a world I didn't know existed and from it, my health, wellbeing, anxiety levels, my relationship with my mum and with myself have been transformed. I have learnt to love myself and understand what trauma has done to me over the years. I have lowered my dosage of my anxiety tablets and it feels wonderful. I smile more, I feel happier and I have made peace with many things I have struggled with and feel I can move forward. Thank you so much to Jessica." - Lucinda Smith Lenander, UK

"I. M." 📚Book club 📚 ["The Culture Map" by Erin Meyer]

Shinjuku Central Park Lawn Square (East)

------About the Book club-----

This will be a relaxed discussion and exchange of ideas about the book. If you have questions or did not fully understand the content, you can bring the inquiries and we all can have a friendly chat about them.

Here there are no "I am right", or "You are wrong" answers, just open minds. Agnostics when we don't know enough to have an informed opinion and comprehensive when we don't share them. We try to see the world from different perspectives, even when those are counterintuitive. We gather to try to understand ✅, not to make anyone understand❌.

For April we will be discussing: "The Culture Map
Breaking Through the Invisible Boundaries of Global Business" Please take a look at the end for an abstract of the book.

------Details of the event-----

- 3:00PM
We will gather in front of the Starbucks in the "Shinjuku Chuo park" in the east side. ( https://goo.gl/maps/6Efv9XTPmraoNZWB9 ) 5 minutes walking from Tochomae sta. 15 minutes walking from Shinjuku station.
If the weather allows it, we will sit in a blanket under the nice shade of a leafy tree. Feel free to buy your beverage in Starbucks or bring one by your own.
PLEASE NOTE: If it is raining, we might chose to stay inside the Starbucks or in the nice terrace above it. In which case, please understand that a purchase of a drink might be necessary to use the space.

-3:15 PM
We will split into small groups to start the discussion. A list with the subtitles of the book and possible questions will be provided, but feel free to start the conversation as you like.

-4:00 PM
We will mix the groups and share our thoughts with different persons

-4:30 PM
Let's discuss altogether the conclusions that we got from each other (or maybe there will be more questions than answers!)

The limit of the persons that can attend is so we can manage better the discussion and everyone can participate and have a voice, so, if you are unable to attend, please change your RSPV so others can join instead.

Let's talk about Culture differences!

# The Culture Map

Why does your Swedish colleague have so many problems leading his Chinese team? How do you foster a good relationship with your Brazilian suppliers while sitting at your desk in Europe? How do you navigate the tricky task of performance reviews when your American employees precede negative feedback with three nice comments, while the French, Dutch, Israelis, and Germans skip the positives and get straight to the point? What is the best method for getting your team based on four continents to work together effectively?

The book is also filled with engaging, real-life stories and anecdotes from around the world that impart important lessons about global teamwork and international collaboration, including:

  • Takaki explains to his multinational colleagues the importance of “reading the air,” or picking up on the unspoken subtext of a conversation, in Japanese communication
  • Sarah sends e-mails to several Indian IT engineers only to understand later that she has offended and isolated their boss by not going through him
  • Sabine doesn’t realize her job is in jeopardy after her performance review, as her American boss couches the message in a positivity rarely used in France.
  • Ulrich’s Russian staff perceive him as weak and incompetent as he employs the egalitarian leadership techniques so popular in his native Denmark.
  • Bo Chen – who has something urgent to say – waits patiently to be called on while his American colleagues jump in one after the other. His opportunity never comes.
