Join the Tokyo Expat Social Club for a delicious evening of Japanese yakiniku (BBQ) in Shinjuku.
Yakiniku dinners are one of the most social ways to eat in Japan. Plates of meat arrive at the table, everyone gathers around the grill, and conversations naturally flow while food cooks and is shared.

For this dinner we’ll be visiting Yakiniku Motoyama, known for its high-quality meat cuts and classic yakiniku experience. We’ll order a variety of meats and sides for the table so everyone can enjoy the flavors together. The format is relaxed and communal — grilling, sharing plates, and chatting between bites. It’s a great opportunity to enjoy Japanese food culture while meeting new people in a comfortable, welcoming setting.

You can expect classic yakiniku favorites such as harami (skirt steak), roast cuts, pork belly, chicken, and seasonal sides, along with dishes like kimchi, salads, and rice or bibimbap to share around the table.
