Cherry blossom season along the Sumida River has a different rhythm — wide skies, water reflections, and rows of sakura stretching along the riverside.
On April 4, we’ll meet at Sumida Park, lay out picnic sheets beneath the trees, and spend the afternoon between the blossoms and the river. At some point, we’ll also take a slow walk along the embankment, following the line of cherry trees and enjoying the open riverside view.
This gathering is about sharing space — sitting together, talking, laughing, meeting people you wouldn’t normally cross paths with. It’s a great chance to connect with both international residents and local friends while enjoying one of Tokyo’s most scenic spring spots.
You’re welcome to bring something small to eat or drink. Stay for the whole afternoon or just drop by for a while — both are perfectly fine.
