Within 20 minutes participants learn to use the common sound space to create resonance in the form of improvisational music where it is quite common to experience some real flow moments… It is very easy to participate, no musical talent or training is required so anyone is welcome to join. All of the session is done with eyes closed to avoid visual distractions and keep focus on the co-created sound space. Paint with the Artist ✨ Walk-In Mixed Acrylics&Gilding Workshop Part of Art Spring Berlin – Open Studio Days, Atelierhaus Prenzlauer Promenade Saturday 30 May \| 13:00–16:00 Sunday 31 May \| 13:00–16:00 Location: Prenzlauer Promenade 149 building C, Floor 6, Studio 662 - Roxana Ardeleanu For Open Studio Days and Art Spring Berlin, Creative Shapeshifters opens its studio not only as an exhibition space, but also as a shared space for making, experimenting, and painting together. Join me for a relaxed walk-in painting workshop inspired by my practice as a visual and transdisciplinary artist. This is an open process rather than a fixed class — you can arrive at any point between 13:00 and 16:00, stay for as long as you wish, and become part of a shared painting space. Throughout the afternoon, I’ll be painting alongside everyone while sharing techniques and materials from my own artistic practice. We’ll explore acrylic painting, mixed media processes, and especially gold foil gilding techniques — experimenting with ways of bringing light, texture, layering, and unexpected material encounters into painting. We’ll also play with unconventional materials such as eggs and honey and discover how materials can behave beyond traditional painting approaches. Participants will create small compositions inspired by playful surprise prompts drawn at random — allowing each work to unfold in its own direction. No previous experience needed — curiosity is enough. We'll start off the session with a run in Gleisdreieck park that might include scaling some walls, visiting a few sites in the area to explore their opportunities for climbing and balancing, or going up or down stairs in unusual ways. After the outdoors bit, we come back to our gym where we focus on building strength, working as a group, and learning basic martial arts techniques. We are a small, accessible, mixed-gender, queer-friendly group open to anyone, without any prior knowledge or specific degree of fitness required. Our martial art is Jutaijutsu, a traditional Japanese one focused on self-defence. Sounds interesting? We'd love for you to drop by and join us. You'll need running shoes and comfortable workout clothes, including a raincoat or the like for the park if the weather is bad. Once indoors, we train barefoot. A \~2 hours watercolor - gouache painting lesson. **About this course** The total watercolor, gouache course consists of around 30 lessons that last 2 hours each. You can join at any time during the course. At the start of the event you choose which material you will use. The lessons will happen almost every Tuesday at 19:00-21:00 in Berlin. Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Join us on Saturday for an hour of uninterrupted wordmaking! • What we'll do Join us for an hour of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at 10AM on Saturday mornings. Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done. SCHEDULE: 10:00 - SESSION 1: quick intros. 10:10 - timer starts: write for 1 hour. 11:10 - chat / take off / keep writing. OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING happens at 11A-11:30ish. Writing is very solitary. Connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing. BEING LATE IS OKAY: just show up and get settled, then check-in with me after the session.
